It enables longer usage times and rapid charging with 66W HONOR SuperCharge support In a nod to sustainability, the Black variant of the smartphone offers a vegan leather back option, providing eco-conscious consumers with a stylish yet environmentally friendly choice

The HONOR Magic V2 has set a challenging record for the industry to follow. This achievement is attributed to the meticulous refinement in product structure, continuous improvements of manufacturing processes, and premium selection of materials during its development.

Magic
Mastering 4 Common
HONOR
V2:
Challenges in the World of Foldable Phones

With an innovative design, unmatched durability, and seamless functionality, it sets new standards in the foldable segment

In recent years, foldable devices have evolved significantly, becoming essential tools for people on the move to work, watch, and connect seamlessly Initially, these devices faced common challenges like being too bulky, having small batteries, hinge design gaps, and durability issues

Acknowledging these concerns, HONOR took on the challenge and designed the thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V2 as part of its flagship Magic Series This foldable device successfully addresses all consumer worries, ticking every box with its innovative solutions

The Thinnest and Lightest Foldable with 9.9mm Design

Foldables have entered the Millimeter era, thanks to the HONOR Magic V2 Weighing only 231g and measuring 99mm in thickness when folded, the Magic V2 pushes the boundaries of innovation for foldable devices The Magic V2’s superior lightweight design and premium build quality are enabled using breakthrough innovations such as the super-light Titanium Hinge and HONOR’s proprietary steel, providing a perfect balance between weight and strength

At a mere 99mm thickness, this foldable device blurs the lines between foldable and regular bar phones, offering a size that competes with them while delivering a unique foldable experience.

Ultra-Durable Even after 10 Years

The HONOR Magic V2 achieved a certification from global authority SGS for its cutting-edge proprietary steel which is inspired by steel used in tunnel boring This state-of-the-art material is 25% thinner and 20% stronger compared to the previous generation Magic Vs, providing added robustness and durability to the hinge mechanism. As a result, this enables the hinge to withstand 400,000 folds, ensuring a lifespan of up to 10 years for folding 100 times a day.

Additionally, the Magic V2 features a polycurved nanocrystal glass on its display creating a deeper sense of safety and endurance for its user, offering 10 times greater drop resistance compared to typical glass The Nanocrystal Glass 20 display within the device serves as a protective layer and acts as a shield against the uncertainties of daily life.

Huge 5000mAh Battery with No Compromise on the Thinness

When it comes to foldables, the challenge has always been deciding between a bulky design with a large battery or a slim design with limited battery capacity The traditional "three-layer stacked" screen driver architecture has long been a major obstacle for putting large batteries in thin and light folding screen smartphones

HONOR, however, has solved this puzzle with the introduction of the Magic V2 By incorporating a groundbreaking "three-in-one" display driver component, HONOR was able to take advantage of the additional internal space and fit in the thinnest 5000mAh Silicon-carbon Dual Battery in its design This ensures that thinness is not compromised, and users can stay connected without the need for frequent recharging

Gearless Titanium Hinge with No Gaps

What’s more, foldable devices faced a critical challenge with the presence of a gap, impacting both durability and overall design, causing hesitation among potential users The HONOR Magic V2 has successfully overcome these issues, elevating the standards for foldable technology.

In comparison to stainless steel, titanium alloy is 42% lighter, making it a much more desirable option material for a lightweight foldable smartphone Thanks to the sophisticated and improved hinge design, the Magic V2 exhibits no gaps between screens when folded With its advanced zero-gear structure, this cutting-edge device introduces an impressive hovering feature.

The HONOR Magic V2 will be launched in South Africa imminently.

INSPIRING AN INCLUSIVE CULTURE

What is inclusion?

Inclusion encompasses the fundamental principle of embracing the diversity that exists among us, be it in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, abilities or any other aspect that contributes to one’s unique identity. It is about promoting a sense of belonging and equal opportunity for every individual, irrespective of their differences.

What does it mean to truly inspire inclusion?

To truly inspire inclusion is to adopt the growth of a harmonious society - an inclusion culture In our ever-evolving world, the concept of inclusion holds an immeasurable significance It involves actively promoting diversity and equity while embracing and celebrating differences Through these acts we learn to value individuals from diverse backgrounds, understanding that each person brings unique perspective and experience that can contribute to the collective good

Why is inclusion so significant?

It is not just a buzzword; it has a real social economic and emotional implications When we create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued, we unlock potential for innovation and creativity Diverse perspectives and experiences allow for the generation of fresh ideas and solutions to complex challenges, moreover an inclusive culture builds a sense of camaraderie and belonging among individuals, fostering stronger relationships and a more cohesive society

So, how can we actively build inclusive communities?

As leaders, who should be advocates of inclusion, we must recognise the tremendous power it holds. It is vital to first acknowledge and challenge biases and prejudices that may exist. And that begins with cultivating a mindset that embraces differences. Recognising the existence of these biases allows us to proactively work towards eliminating them, ensuring a fair and equitable society for all Education and understanding also play a crucial role in promoting inclusivity By actively seeking knowledge about different cultures, backgrounds and identities, we can foster empathy, broaden our perspectives and

promote inclusivity in our daily interactions We can achieve this by consciously challenging stereotypes, prejudices, and discriminatory practices

Encouraging open and respectful dialogues is another key component of an inclusive culture By creating spaces where individuals feel safe to express their views and beliefs without fear of judgement or discrimination, we create an environment that values diverse opinions and encourage constructive conversations. Through dialogue we can bridge divides, challenges misconceptions and promote meaningful connections.

Although the idea of inclusion may seem straightforward, there are numerous hurdles that need to be overcome Attitudinal barriers such as prejudices and misconceptions, can impede the progress of inclusion Structural barriers such as physical obstacles or systemic inequalities also need to be addressed

It is essential to ensure that inclusive values are reflected in our institutions, policies and practices Organisations and governments must actively champion and promote diversity and inclusion, implementing measures that eliminate barriers and promote equal opportunities It should not be about compliance, but how we as brands and leaders can add value Diversity and inclusion are important for sustainability It plays an important role towards transformation, and these programs can be used as stabilising agents and practical tools that shape societal ethos into global developmental processes Within the private and public sector, the commitment to equality and transformation extends beyond economic empowerment, it is motivated by our global ambition to be inclusive and diverse

Embracing an inclusion culture is crucial for the growth and well-being of our society. Inspiring inclusion is not just an abstract idea, but a concrete framework for building a fairer and more harmonious society.

One of the core pillars of W-Suite, the initiative I founded with the goal of uplifting women into positions of power, is inclusion. Inclusivity is tantamount to empowering communities rather than just individuals And in order to provide equitable opportunities to 50% of the world’s

population (yes, women), we can not operate in a bubble of exclusivity - we need to share resources, knowledge, wealth, connections, pain and joy It is this spirit of inclusion that brings us closer together and provides us with a better understanding of the many diverse narratives experiences by women across the globe

As we celebrate International Women's Month 2024 and reflect on its theme: Inspire Inclusion, let us reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where all women are empowered, valued, and included By working together to break down barriers and foster diversity, we can build a more equitable and inclusive society for generations to come

Hennessy CURATED an Immersive weekend experience to Commemorate BAL Marketing Partnership

Sports is somewhat of a cult-ish side of life, and I bring in the word "cult" in a good because that is how we see the sports stars being able to live their dreams through the support they get from people

When a sport like basketball begins to make waves, and move mountains in the African continent, especially in South Africa we now start seeing all those people who stay up till super early hours of the morning just to watch the NBA games come out to play, and man did they come out to play on day one of the BAL.

While on the influential side of life, Hennessy was making sure that the culture of basketball is celebrated in style even before the opening day of this massive tournament

Hennessy, the world-renowned cognac brand and the number one selling cognac brand in South Africa and the world, was proud to announce its marketing partnership with the Basketball Africa League (BAL) for the 2024 season just before the action kicked off

This year is BAL's fourth season and features an expanded lineup with a record 48 games being played in South Africa, Egypt, Senegal, and Rwanda, which marks the first time BAL games are played in South Africa and the first time the league will play games in four different countries

Tipping off on Saturday, 9 March at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, the BAL season will feature the top 12 club teams from 12 African countries, and that was not a tip off, but a take off of note

Hennessy is more than a cognac. The brand represents communities and culture, and Hennessy's partnership with the BAL enables the brand to support a culture that brings people together through entertainment and camaraderie. Hennessy curated an exclusive, immersive VIP Experience at the BAL, which took place between Friday, 8 March and Sunday, 10 March, 2024. The event was attended by well-known celebrities, influencers and friends of the brand, who enjoyed the games and the one-of-a-kind experience presented by Hennessy

Stef Kondylis, Market Manager of Southern Africa at Moët Hennessy, stated, "This partnership is another showcase of Hennessy's role in urban culture, bringing unforgettable moments to our fans worldwide Since the spirit of the game is gaining more traction in the region of Africa, our efforts to build and sustain a community that thrives on the culture is not going unnoticed.
