David has been employed as a Diesel Technician with the Lease Rental Department for more than 16 years, beginning in June 2008 His dedication and hard work have truly made a difference in the lease shop We greatly value David’s unwavering commitment and his willingness to share his wisdom with fellow employees especially his mentorship of younger technicians, generously passing along his knowledge and expertise True to form, during his recent retirement luncheon, David took the opportunity to share a few encouraging words with his peers: “You younger people need to take advantage of every opportunity you have to train It hones your craft, makes you a better technician No matter how silly or menial the training is, you should take it because you never know when it will benefit you repairing a vehicle down the road” David went on to say that he has one more Volvo electrical training session he’s eligible for but didn’t see it in time and wouldn’t have enough time to complete it before retirement And that’s exactly why David will be truly missed thinking about improving his craft right up to the very end! We wish David a retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures Congratulationsonreachingthisincrediblemilestone!

FLEETGUARD TRAINING
On February 11, 2025, Vanguard Truck Centers and Nacarato Truck Centers came together in Cookeville, Tennessee, for an exclusive hands-on training session at Fleetguard This event provided a valuable opportunity for Vanguard regional parts managers, outside parts sales managers, and Nacarato's parts managers to gain in-depth knowledge and experience with Fleetguard’s advanced filtration technologies Fleetguard hosted an informative and interactive tour of their facility, showcasing the intricate process of manufacturing their proprietary nanonet filter media and assembling their extensive range of filters Attendees also explored Fleetguard’s cutting-edge testing and forensic labs, where they observed the rigorous procedures used to identify failure causes and ensure product reliability.
Beyond the tour, Fleetguard provided a comprehensive training session on their coolant technology, followed by breakout discussions where managers collaborated to tackle three key opportunities each had brought to the session. This collaborative approach fostered knowledge sharing and problem-solving, reinforcing the strength of our partnership with Fleetguard Vanguard and Nacarato are proud to be the first dealer group to partner with Volvo Trucks and Fleetguard for this type of specialized training We extend our sincere appreciation to Fleetguard for hosting this event and for their continued commitment to our valued partnership Together, we remain dedicated to enhancing our expertise and delivering the highest quality solutions to our customers
Vanguard Parts Departments Transition to New CRM System: Voze
We’re excited to announce a significant upgrade to our operations: Vanguard’s parts departments are transitioning to a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system called Voze! This new system is designed to enhance efficiency, improve communication, and provide faster, more seamless service to our valued customers. As part of this transition, each region has participated in in-person training sessions tailored for managers, outside sales representatives, and inside sales teams. These sessions ensured that all team members are equipped with the knowledge
and skills to maximize Voze's capabilities. In addition to the new system, we’re updating our outside sales and inside sales workflows These changes are specifically aimed at accelerating our response times and improving the customer experience, enabling us to better meet the needs of those we serve.

We’re excited to share the success of our recent work on the VTL/NATO integration project, a key step in aligning our systems and operations The dedicated team from VTL worked closely with the NATO team alongside Lynn Rondo from Enrich to prepare data and configure the Enrich platform for NATO’s transition from CDK.
Over the past four months, this group has worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and effective transition The VTL and Enrich teams traveled to La Vergne, TN, where they led hands-on training sessions and finalized the data migration into Enrich Thanks to the seamless collaboration between all teams involved, we’re proud to announce that as of April 1st, Nacarato Truck Leasing and Rental operations are now successfully running on Enrich

The Phoenix OPS Team proudly represented Vanguard at this year’s Truck-A-Palooza event an exciting community outreach effort designed to showcase the wide range of products and services Vanguard offers.
The event gave guests a hands-on experience with our trucks, allowing them to climb inside, honk the horns, and flash the lights Meanwhile, our team had the opportunity to engage with the community, answer questions, and share insight into what we do and the products we service and sell
The dedicated Vanguard OPS Team members included: JR Pineda – OPS Representative, Frank Valenzuela –Regional Parts Manager, Bobby Colwell – Regional OPS Manager, Anthony Mayne – OPS Representative, Ray Cascaval – OPS Representative, and Eric Mendoza – OPS Representative.

VANGUARD SHINES AT DIESELS IN THE DESERT
Vanguard made a strong impact at Diesels in the Desert, Arizona’s largest truck show held at the NHRDA track. With support from Bobby Colwell (OPS Regional Manager), the OPS team, Frank Valenzuela (Parts Regional Manager), and Herb Rice (New Truck Sales Rep), Vanguard raced trucks down the strip and earned an impressive 2nd place finish. The team also hosted a vendor booth, and featured a truck in the Show & Shine showcasing Vanguard’s performance, innovation, and team spirit
