Vanguard Truck Leasing News We finished strong in 2021 with 112 vehicles in-serviced to put VTL at the #3 position of all members of NATLG (Mack Leasing System & Volvo Leasing System). VTL continues to transition to be more Customer focused, market driven and visible to prospects in all of our operations.

We have begun our expanded relationship with NationaLease by adding the following locations: Forest Park, Adairsville, Savannah, Commerce, Houston, Buda, Georgetown, Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. We were already members in El Paso, Charlotte, Greensboro and Durham. This membership brings reciprocal service coverage across North America for our Customers, discount programs for all of Vanguard and expanded sales opportunities through the National Account program.

New Additions to the VTL Team Jim Mulcahey – VTL Region Manager for Atlanta has joined us. Jim brings a leasing background and successful sales and Customer relationship management to our team.

Jared Perdue – VTL Sales for Atlanta and Adairsville. Jared is sales focused with a track record of profitably growing business in his territories.

VTL Promotions Belki DeLong – VTL Region Manager for Houston. Please congratulate Belki for her promotion. She has done a great job for VTL in her sales role and now expands that role to include the Houston leasing operation.

Terry Slaughter – Used Truck Sales Coordinator for all VTL Used Trucks. Terry has moved to Used Trucks in Forest Park but remains connected to VTL as our Used Truck Coordinator. He will help manage all parts of the vehicle disposal process for VTL.

EMPLIFY SURVEY RESULTS

Our December 2021 Emplify score was the highest to date at 77.98 Highly Engaged!

We achieved record high survey participation at 94% El Paso not only had the highest participation, but also the highest Emplify score of any region!

Every single survey driver had an increase over the March 2021 survey

These survey drivers are our immediate focus: Coworker Relationships and Shared Values: We plan to improve these drivers by tying the Code of Conduct to the Merit Review process Purpose: We anticipate that resuming Town Hall Visits this year will have a positive impact on the Purpose driver

We are committed to recognizing your efforts and hard work, and to that end, we're happy to have launched our Tenure Award Program (see page 7 for details).

BOMs will be working with management to provide regional Emplify survey results at the local level.

FOREST PARK SERVICE DEPARTMENT

We are pleased to announce that the Forest Park Service Department became a Volvo Certified Uptime Center in January.

This is a huge accomplishment by Clif Williams and his entire team!

CAREER FAIRS Layce Cason, Recruiting Director, is excited to announce two more successful career fairs in two days in the month of February.

Vanguard took their recruiting efforts to State Tech in Jefferson City, MO. Bill Ripple, the St Charles Service Manager spoke to about 40 diesel technology students eager to break into the field once they graduate.

The very next day, Vanguard visited Universal Technician Institute in Houston TX. Daniel McCants, Regional Service Manager, and Grant Haley, Hwy 90 Service Manager, spoke to about 200 diesel technology students. Of those students, we set two interviews up with fully certified Cummins students graduating in March.

El Paso Visit CEO Tom Ewing and EVP of Sales John Thomas headed down to El Paso for a visit in December. They had lunch with longtime Volvo customer Mustang Express and Mack and Volvo customers Saddle Up Express and A&R. They then had a pre-Christmas dinner at The Chop House with the local management and sales team and were also joined by Scott Parten, Volvo Regional Sales V.P.

Tom was able to meet with everyone at the dealership and also attended the presentation of El Paso's November employee of the month, Donna Herring (pictured right with Tom and GM John Ortiz).

It was a very nice, productive and enjoyable visit for all.
