As we continue this exciting phase of expansion and growth, it is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings on the relaunch of our InSync Magazine. Today marks not only a milestone in our journey but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to maintaining our identity amidst the evolution of our business.
At Wisynco, we take pride in our roots and in the values that have guided us since our inception. As we expand our capacity and diversify our product offerings, it becomes increasingly important to stay true to who we are and to the principles that define us. In this first issue, you will notice a call to action on safety, which is part of a new focus that you will hear more about in the coming months. Just as our CHIRP values remain common threads that must continue to run through everything we do: Safety is paramount, and it is imperative that each and every one of us takes ownership of this vital aspect of our operations. We welcome this revamped InSync Magazine as a platform for preserving our identity, showcasing our innovation and for sharing the stories that make us who we are, even as we venture into new spaces and embrace new opportunities.

A message from our Chairman- William Mahfood
Dear Team,
In our efforts to achieve consistent growth and create long-term shareholder value, Wisynco is looking forward to our largest expansion in the company’s history. The Wisynco team has constantly demonstrated resilience and responsiveness to capitalize on market opportunities. We have outlined the following strategic expansion plans:
1. Manufacturing Capacity Expansion:
We have recently installed a new water manufacturing line, as well as a new carbonated/non-carbonated beverage line. This will assist in meeting the demand and improving efficiency. We will be able to offer more products, in more sizes, to give consumers more choices.
2. Product Range Expansion
We have invested in a new factory, which is under construction at our current Lakespen facility.Staying committed to our mantra, ‘The Innovators’, we are adding a new product portfolio to meet consumer needs and market trends. We strive to offer high quality products with a comprehensive range of skus that cater to consumers across different demographics.
Wisynco is accelerating our digital transformation systems to improve customer engagement, as well as streamline operations. We are investing in an e-commerce infrastructure that will provide a centralized platform to integrate core business processes across our company. This will assist in all teams being fully aligned.
In preparation for the new lines, we have hired over one hundred new team members. As part of the expansion, we will onboard an additional two hundred new team members that will support the increased production, operations, and sales. As operations scale up, there will be a need for leadership and expertise at various levels. This will provide opportunities for current team members to step up into new roles and take on additional responsibilities to contribute to the team’s success.
With a focus on high quality, product innovation and operational efficiencies, we are well-positioned to be successful in both the local and export markets. I am confident that our expansion plans will continue to bring consistent growth and long-term value to all stakeholders in the future.
Thank you for all your assistance, support and continued trust in our team as we embark on our new expansion and digital transformation.

A message from our Director of Manufacturing
Our people are at the heart of our manufacturing transformation. This is led by our various teams to include Production, Product Development, Administration, Blow Mold, Quality, Purchasing, Maintenance, Food Safety and Warehouse & Stores.
Wisynco’s Manufacturing Division continues to embrace the path of “Precision. Operational Resilience. Innovation. Adaptation. Safety” words that embody that new wave of growth! The Division is in the final stages of its multi-billion-dollar expansion projects as it seeks to meet rising demand for its wide range of products. These new investments and initiatives include:
1. New Waterline at Lakespen: This allows us to increase our capacity to produce WATA beverages. So far we have achieved a sixty per cent (60%) capacity increase.
2. New SIPA high-speed filler at White Marl: We are increasing our capacity to produce carbonated and still beverages by 35%.
3. Electric Power Generation Capacity Expansion: We successfully installed a new 1.6- megawatt diesel gas blend engine, commissioned in the third quarter of the 2023 fiscal year.
4. Water Treatment and Efficiency Enhancements: A project to stabilise our water treatment system’s reliability and reduce water usage initiated. We are fifty per cent (50%) completed with the aim of reducing our water usage ratio (WUR) below 2 from over 3. This will result in a more environmentally friendly programme with more efficient use of the water abstracted from the aquifer. A rainwater-harvesting program is also being researched with a view to directly replenishing the aquifer.
5. Digital Transformation – The Division continues to embrace Tech-Powered growth, supporting the wider group changes for a new ERP system. We are embracing the increased use of data for improving areas such as manufacturing efficiency, wastewater management, energy efficiency and safety programs.
6. Leadership and people development: We are committed to providing various training and team building activities. The manufacturing teams recently retreated for a day of relaxation at the Royalton Resort.
The expansion activities are being led by:
Unit 1: Ghanshayam Ramroop (General Manager – Manufacturing), Christopher Russell (Group Mechatronics Engineer & Projects Manager), Rohan Clarke (Maintenance Superintendent). Support for these projects also comes from Nekeisha Myers (Unit 1 Manager), while maintaining production activities.
Unit 2: Michael Grayer (Manufacturing Transformation Manager), Ghanshayam Ramroop and Christopher Russell.
I must pause to commend the entire Management Team that are persevering during this difficult time, adapting to the many changes that arise with these expansion projects.
We have continued to pass and retain our independent certification through our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems; ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems; FSSC 22000 for Food Safety Systems; ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management, and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems.
Unit 3: One additional major expansion we will see in short order is the introduction of two (2) new packaging types (glass and can) in the first quarter of our 2024/2025 financial year.
This will come with the introduction of new and innovative products along with some of our existing products. This expansion is being led by Michael Grayer and Ghanshayam Ramroop.
We look forward to the completion of the expansion of our manufacturing capacity, a development that will empower us to meet the burgeoning demands of our valued customers!

From the Desk of Head of Sales
So much time has passed and so many things have happened since our last InSync magazine publication, but through all these changes we must first give thanks to God for giving us the strength to carry-on doing what we all love.
After all, we did survive a major earthquake in September 2023. Therefore, let’s look at the sales happenings over the last 6 months.
Our company achieved a remarkable increase in revenue in comparison to the previous year. This growth was driven by successful product launches, expanded market reach and strategic partnerships.
During November, Wisynco & Jamaican Teas formed a distributive partnership for the Tetley Teas & Caribbean Dreams portfolio.
That year also saw us winning the best Breakthrough Product - Grape Water, Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) Legacy Award and the Award for Highest Quality and Standards in September 2023.
We successfully launched HFS (High Frequency Stores) partnerships with Modern Trade managing quite a few strategic locations, thus establishing a stronger foothold & gaining market share. The Modern Trade team worked diligently to understand the locations’ dynamics and tailored offerings to meet customer needs. As a result of a successful pilot project under which Modern Trade managed the Rubis Washington Boulevard HFS, they will be rolling out full-scale sales and execution management of some key HFS islandwide over the next 12-24 months.
Our commitment to exceptional customer service continues through our commitment to quality, accessibility, and attentiveness to customers’ needs. Wisynco endeavors to exceed customer expectations at every touch point, as we strive to satisfy our valued customers by highlighting our responsiveness, product quality and reliability.
Recently we introduced new product lines and expanded our productive capabilities to address emerging trends and high customer demands. These additions contributed significantly to our overall sales figures.
Our sales team secured major contracts with industry leaders, including the renewal of our Mother’s Enterprise Agreement. We have been supporting their re-branding and expansion as well as bringing more visibility to other locally owned Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands like Quick Chick and Bird Shack. These partnerships not only boosted revenue but also strengthened our brand reputation.
We invested in our sales leadership by providing targeted training programs. Hence, our leadership improved their negotiation skills, established clearer input and executional key performance indicators, and improved on managing teams more effectively. These improvements have paid dividends as we have seen a major increase in our teams’ motivation and productivity.
So, my fellow WISYNCONIANS, I am happy to report that your sales & merchandising teams will continue to ensure that NO BRAND, NO SHELF, NO CUSTOMER or TEAM MEMBER is left behind! To our valued customers we sincerely appreciate your commitment and overwhelming support. Keep CHIRPing until next time.
Halcott Holness, Head of Sales
