Prerequisites Students come from many college majors and may have already taken calculus, financial accounting and statistics, with a grade of B or better. Students who lack quantitative coursework may be admitted to our program conditionally before these requirements are met. Owen offers specific options to complete fundamental concepts of quantitative analysis with online and self-paced programs. Additional prerequisites may be required on a case-by-case basis.

FINANCING YOUR MBA We are committed to helping you afford a Vanderbilt MBA with a generous merit-based scholarship program. In any given year, roughly 60 percent of the incoming class receives merit aid; the average merit scholarship is $28,000 per year. All scholarships are awarded at time of admission. When awarding scholarships, we conduct a holistic assessment of achievements and potential. While we may offer special scholarships that require an essay, all admitted students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Applicants should submit by Round 3 to receive priority consideration, though we will continue to award scholarships until all funds are depleted. The most prestigious of scholarships are the Dean’s Scholar and Ingram Scholarships. Those who are selected for these awards are also invited to a special event, which immediately precedes Welcome Weekend.
