People have more options on where they can live and Maricopa County (Phoenix-Metro) continues to be one of the top choices. It provides a great lifestyle without the inflated price tag of most metropolitans of similar size, with low risk of weather-related downtime.

Over the last decade, Arizona shifted from Housing and Construction to Technology and Innovation. The Arizona Commerce Authority claims Arizona will add 22,753 more technology jobs by 2030, a 20% growth rate, one of the fastest in the nation. This shift has brought youth and vitality, fueled by a high growth of skilled workers, higher wages, and income.

In terms of pandemic recovery, Arizona is outperforming the country when it comes to workforce, employment, manufacturing jobs, population growth, and wage growth, according to the ACA.

Arizona Ranks High in its Infrastructure and Low in Natural Disasters

Arizona has low history of natural disasters, or disasters caused by failed infrastructure. When buying a home in Scottsdale, you would typically not be thinking about power outages, clean water or hurricane evacuations. For homeowners, this means you can rely on the probability that you will come home to the same home you left. For

corporations, this means low risk of weather-related shutdowns.

The lower resulting insurance premiums add to the savings enjoyed by residents with some of the lowest property taxes Arizona. This means a nicer home for the same payment they may pay somewhere else

“Arizona was recently ranked as having the second most reliable energy grid in the country. When you pair that with our abundant renewable energy and modern highways, airports, rail, ports of entry and public transportation, Arizona stands out as an ideal location o doing business in the global economy.” – Sandra Watson, President and CEO Arizona Commerce Authority.

According to the Maricopa Association of Governments in September, Maricopa added more residents than any other county in the nation each month of 2021.

Arizona is known for its great weather and beautiful scenery. It also attracts national attention for its MLB Spring Training, College Championship Sports and the annual Fiesta Bowl, the “rowdy” PGA Phoenix Open, Barrett-Jackson and other Collector Car Auctions and an occasional Super Bowl. Phoenix is home to Champion Sports teams in Football, NBA and WNBA Basketball, Hockey, Baseball and Soccer. Scottsdale alone has over 200 year-round golf courses

Central Location

For the hottest months of July and August, many residents drive two hours away to the pines, five-hours to the west coast or eight hours to cooler locations in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. For me, I enjoy living here year-round with cool early mornings, refreshing evenings and relishing the reliability of the weather.
