MEDICARE ANNUAL WHY THIS

The annual Medicare Open Enrollment (AEP) period begins October 15th to December 7th, 2025. If you or someone you know are beneficiaries, you should carefully review your current plan’s Annual Notice of Change to see how these updates will impact both coverage and costs. This is the one time of year you can make changes to your Medicare Advantage Part C plan or Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. There have been significant changes in available carriers, plan shifts, and major benefits.

Wife and husband duo, Abrina and Alex Tarasenko of Everything Insurance Group, are a licensed family-owned insurance agency located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their company has served clients for over 10 years and takes special interest in Medicare coverage options. They could help simplify the review process for you due to their extensive knowledge about vital Notices of Change and related coverage updates.

The group is informed and delivers sound advice because they are experienced in various Medicare coverage related needs - including the nuances that can impact coverages associated with individuals who are fully retired, veterans, currently employed, tribal members, and those who are nearing their 65th birthday. Their hearts are in each client interaction. TRUST is paramount in their agency and conveyed in everything they do.

“Recent Medicare updates have created a shift. These updates have affected plan benefits, out-ofpocket costs and the overall enrollee experience in the 2026 calendar year,” explained Abrina. “These core changes have made a crucial impact on what beneficiaries can expect in 2026. The good news is that there are new coverages with networks and benefits not previously offered.”

Some new Medicare Advantage plan offerings include plans for cardiovascular disorders, chronic heart failure, and diabetes.

Hassle-Free,

POWERFUL POWER WASHING POWERFULLY

In Oklahoma, where red dirt meets wild weather, Devin Duncanson has built something remarkable with “Oklahoma’s Best Power Washing and Soft Washing Services.” What started as a passion project— born from long hours of pressure washing parking lots — has grown into a respected business committed to keeping homes and commercial properties looking their best. This is a local family business operated by Devin and his mother Soni Duncanson.

“I started pressure washing when I worked for a painting company in California,” Devin shared. “Even without fancy equipment, I loved the work. It just clicked for me. I could see myself doing this long term.”

Gutter Cleaning

Recently, above average rainfall has created an obvious appearance of organic fungi on walkways, patios, driveways, siding, decks, and roofs; as well as its effects on overall proper gutter function. Devin is known for his hands-on approach, honest work ethic, and obsession with detail. This time of year, the business is focused heavily on gutter cleaning and roof washing, which, while often overlooked, play a critical role in preserving a home’s integrity and appearance.

“Clogged gutters don’t just look bad, they cause real damage,” Devin explained. “When gutters overflow because of packed debris, the water spills over, creating dirt streaks, holes in the yard, and even leads to

mold on the siding.”

Devin has seen it all, from black organic growth on shingles to siding covered in grime. But they’re not just blasting things with water. “People assume pressure washing means blasting holes into your home,” he laughed. “But we know what we’re doing. We use soft washing where needed and always choose the right chemicals and pressure levels.”

Roof Cleaning

Roof cleaning, a newer addition to their services, is another significant change. “Sometimes people think they need a new roof,” said Devin. “But it just needs to be cleaned. Mold and debris can eat away at your shingles if left unchecked.” Devin’s highly-rated results are based on his

Devin and Soni Duncanson of Oklahoma’s Best Power Washing and Soft Washing Services.

EQUIPMENT + CHEM EXPERTISE = CLEAN RESULTS

knowledge of chemical treatments coupled with his professional equipment.

The results of his work speak for themselves. “I see it like art,” Devin said. “I’m turning something dull and dirty into something beautiful again. And when the customer sees the result and smiles, “that’s the best part of the job.”

His reputation for excellence is not just based on skill but on dedication. Devin is known for making multiple passes if unsatisfied with the results. “If something’s not right, I fix it. It’s that simple. If the customer’s not happy, I’m not happy.”

Residential and Commercial

The business is growing, with “90% of work currently residential”, though Devin welcomes more commercial contracts.

Oklahoma’s Best Power Washing and Soft Washing Services has invested in powerful equipment and specific chemical treatments for proper pressure, reach, and exceptional cleaning results. From sidewalks to siding, no project is too far—literally. “We’ve traveled over three hours to clean a customer’s home. If it’s a job worth doing, we’ll be there.”

Complete Exterior Cleaning

Seasonal upkeep is also crucial. Devin recommends complete exterior cleaning at least once a year, especially during summer, to combat mold growth and debris buildup from storms. “It’s not just about looks. A clean home lasts longer.”

For hesitant homeowners, Devin offered this message: “Your home is likely

your biggest investment. Keeping it clean is about protecting that investment. Don’t wait until there’s damage.”

Oklahoma’s Best Power Washing and Soft Washing Services offers free estimates and serves a wide area. They can be reached via phone, website, or social media. Whether it’s clearing gutters, restoring a roof, or simply giving a house a fresh face, Devin proves every day that passion, professionalism, and power washing make a perfect combination.

Gleam Guard also offers a “Color Match” service that produces beautiful results for painted cabinetry that shows signs of age and damage like chips and scratches or is hard to clean.

The Gleam Guard Process

Their process begins by preparing the surfaces with a thorough cleaning to remove dirt and debris and making any reparation of damaged areas. Damaged areas are treated with custom-matched stain blends. Lastly, the cabinets are protected with a coating that will keep cabinetry and woodwork looking fresh for decades. Dust-free and non-toxic, the process works on traditional wood surfaces, along with those which are painted, glazed and pickled — even raised panel cabinetry doors. The entire mess-free

THE MUSIC MAN- NATIONAL BROADWAY TOUR MARCH

24, 2026

There’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy THE MUSIC MAN follows fasttalking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Featuring songs such as “Seventy- Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “’Till There Was You,” “Pick-a-Little” and “Gary, Indiana,” THE MUSIC MAN is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.

AVOID THE DANGERS OF NEGLECTING FIREPLACE MAINTENANCE

What You Can Do and What You Should Leave to Cornerstone Chimneys

Fireplace safety requires a combination of routine tasks that a homeowner can perform, as well as services that should be left to the professionals at Cornerstone Chimneys.

Each year, chimneys, fireplaces, wood burning stoves, and dryer vents are some of the leading causes of residential fires. Some of these fires are preventable with professional care.

Cornerstone Chimneys, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a veteran owned, firefighter founded business with over 45 years’ experience helping homeowners enjoy their fireplaces without compromising safety. The company is a trusted name and serves homeowners throughout Oklahoma. They are passionate specialists in chimney related challenges such as chimney fires, earthquakes, lightning strikes, age deterioration, tree damage, wind, hail, and water problems, to name a few. They are also the go-to experts for building your perfectly amazing outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens!

Their goal is to protect you, your home, and family.

Cornerstone Chimneys utilizes interior and exterior comprehensive camera inspections to provide you with specific details about the health and safety of your chimney and fireplace. Additionally, they are a top installer of HEATSHIELD, a cutting-edge mortar used to

restore the integrity of chimneys. “Our team approaches every job with the latest tools, technology, and training from the Chimney Safety Institute of America,” emphasized Kathy.

Fireplace and Chimney Risks

• Chimney Fires: The leading cause of chimney fires is the build-up of flammable creosote, a tar-like substance created by burning wood. According to the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), over 25,000 chimney fires are reported annually in the U.S., causing property damage, injuries, and deaths. Kathy warned, “Bird nests, tree debris, and lack of maintenance can also lead to dangerous chimney fires”.

• Carbon Monoxide Exposure: A clogged or damaged chimney can prevent proper ventilation, allowing dangerous, odorless carbon monoxide gas to leak into your home. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, carbon monoxide poisoning from combustion appliances results in an average of 150 deaths per year.

• Water Intrusion: This one may be surprising, but expensive property damage can occur when water leaks through a chimney. This often-overlooked entry point can lead to rusted pipes, erosion of critical mortar joints, and damage to walls and ceilings.

Homeowner Action Steps:

• Go outside and look at your chimney: Do you see a covering on the top of the chimney? Notice any cracks or missing bricks? Do you see wood rot, missing paint, or holes in the wooden chase?

• Burn only dry seasoned wood: keep your outdoor firewood covered.

• Use a fireplace screen.

• Properly manage fires: Build small, manageable fires that burn completely and produce less smoke. Place logs at the back of the fireplace on a grate for proper support.

• Ensure ventilation: Make sure the damper is fully open before lighting a fire and keep it open until all embers are completely extinguished. If your fireplace has glass doors, leave them open while the fire is burning.

• Practice smart disposal of ashes: Use a metal container with a tight-fitting lid to store fireplace ashes. Store the container outdoors, away from your house, and do not dispose of ashes in a trash can, even if they appear cool.

• Safety devices: Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be installed in your home. We also recommend having fire blankets and a fire extinguisher.

Tasks to Leave to a Cornerstone Chimneys Professional Some services and repairs require professional certification, specialized equipment, and necessary expertise making some fireplace tasks unsafe to perform as a do-it-yourselfer.

• Annual chimney inspection for BOTH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR FIREPLACES AND CHIMNEYS: The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the CSIA recommend having your chimney inspected annually by a certified professional.

• Chimney cleaning (sweeping): Cleaning your chimney is an inherently dangerous task that involves working at heights on a roof and exposing yourself to toxic creosote. Cornerstone Chimneys use specialized equipment and protective gear to ensure correct and safe cleaning.

• Repairs: Cornerstone Chimneys professionally handle your custom repair with safety and efficiency in mind.

• When disaster strikes: Inspections after a malfunction, chimney fire, lightning strike, or other severe weather event that could have caused damage.

Cornerstone Chimneys specializes in chimney building,

repairs, inspection and cleaning; dryer vent cleaning; full masonry rebuilds, fireplace removal and installation, wood-burning to gas log conversions, wood stove installation, hearth and fireplace facing remodeling, wood chase and siding replacement; along with real estate chimney inspections for buyers and sellers.

Outdoor Fireplaces to Full Kitchens

Cornerstone Chimneys are the ultimate professionals for creating or updating your outdoor spaces. Your new dedicated outdoor space is created with your vision in mind and built with integrity for long-lasting functionality and pleasure.

“Creating a dedicated outdoor relaxation space with a fireplace offers significant benefits for your home’s value, mental well-being and social connection,” explains Kathy.

Come one and all, wear your costumes or come as you are, the Halloween at the Castle of Muskogee is transforming into a spooky haven this Halloween season, with thrilling activities and familyfriendly fun designed to captivate and entertain guests of all ages. There will be over 15 merchants offering unique creations, festive costumes, mouth-watering food options, this year’s Castle of Muskogee Halloween Festival promises an unforgettable experience for all.

Highlights of the Halloween Festival

• Castle Village: Discover a bustling marketplace with costumes, delicious treats, and thirst-quenching beverages from savory to sweet. There is no gate admission to the Castle’s Village. It’s free for everyone to enjoy.

• 12 Haunts and Village Games: Venture into a world of thrills with a variety of spooky attractions, including the Castle’s infamous haunts, festival games, and Zombie Paintball experiences.

• Monster Dance: Each evening as the sun sets on the Castle Grounds, the Village Center comes alive with the Monster Dance! Guests are encouraged to dance along or watch from the Crown Inn Pub. This is a ZERO-scare zone and free to everyone.

• NEW for 2025: Enter ARACHNA’S LAIR, if you dare. A deranged scientist’s twisted experiments have spiraled beyond control. Monstrous creatures prowl the decaying halls, their minds bound to an ancient, malevolent force.

The lair has fallen.

Darkness stirs.

This haunt is in the Fright Seekers category and very scary. Will you brave the swarm, reclaim the lab, and confront what lurks in the shadows?

Family Fun

Monster Blaster Haunt, grab your Orbeez blaster and team up to take down silly monsters and haunted obstacles as you traverse a lively battleground.

Spooky Express will take you on an eerie tour of the Castle grounds.

Haunted Hayride is a tractor-drawn journey through the woods of Castleton.

Bonfire Ghost Telling is the spot for chilling tales around the fire pit. These ghost-host tales are free to everyone.

Not Too Scary activities also include the Torture Chamber & Catacombs and the Ultimate Maze

Fright Seekers

The Circus returns with Jester’s Revenge, a sinister funhouse featuring nightmarish clowns. How about a visit to Casa Morte, the place where you come face to face with residents of the asylum! Move on to Domus Horrificus, a realm of twisted fears.

Your mind-boggling scares continue at The Trail of Blood in the Castles haunted backwoods. And you won’t want to miss Archna’s Lair also in the heart-pounding category.
