nrest seems to be a theme these days for people who desire a change in our government, but can not necessarily agree on how. However, discussion is a means to discovering a proper path of action. How do you feel about issues like minimum wage, health care, and the role of government in job creation?

How Much Time Do I have?

Tired of bad roommates? Don’t want to pay someone else’s rent?

by Cristal Drake ’ll admit it; lately I had been feeling a little burned out. But not from selling real estate, I love that! I was burned out from working what was starting to feel like seven days a week.

I

So, when my phone rang no a Saturday night at 8:00 while I was at dinner, I let it go to voice mail. When I called back on Sunday morning, I found an older gentleman, I will call “Jack” on the other end of the line. He hadn’t made his mortgage payment in almost four months and he was worried; so worried that it was keeping him up at night. He was afraid that someone might be knocking on his door at any time to tell him that the bank was taking his home. I felt horrible for not having answered! We had a nice conversation and after re-capping what the process is and what his options are, we realized he had some time and alternatives. This is a scary situation to be in but the important thing to remember is that there are options.

The main thing that “Jack” needed to do was talk to the bank. Because of his particular situation, the bank will probably be flexible and more importantly, he still has time! The banks DO NOT want to take your home. But, if they don’t hear from you, they might end up doing just that.
