1. APPLY
Apply online at valpo.edu/apply or via CommonApp.
2. REQUEST YOUR TRANSCRIPTS
Request your official college transcripts from each college/university that you have attended and have them sent to our Office of Undergraduate Admission at transcripts@valpo.edu.
3. SUBMIT THE FAFSA FORM
Be sure to complete your free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) form and add Valpo’s school code (001842). Once you are admitted to the University and we receive your FAFSA, our Office of Financial Aid will prepare an award letter, which will be mailed to you.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Valparaiso University offers merit scholarships to transfer students with at least a 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA and 15 transferable credits!
TRANSFERRING CREDITS
• Transfer credits are awarded on a courseby-course basis once you are admitted
• Most university, college, or community college courses equal to corresponding Valpo courses are applied toward general education requirements or as elective credits with grades of C-minus or better
• Courses in your major may fulfill major requirements upon approval by dean or department chair
Additional transfer scholarships for Phi Theta Kappa, associate's degree completion, and other partnerships range from $1 ,000 -$4 ,000.
• Once admitted, you will receive official notification of transfer credits within about two weeks

ORIENTATION AND REGISTRATION
Additional aid in the form of grants, loans, and campus employment are available to qualifying students based on the completion of the FAFSA form (fafsa.gov) with Valpo’s code (001842). Priority is given to those who complete the FAFSA process by April 15. Learn more at valpo.edu/scholarships.

If you’re ready to become a Beacon, register for FOCUS , Valpo’s new- and transfer student orientation! At FOCUS , students register for classes, learn about student life, attend sessions on campus services, and participate in other activities to get you ready for your Valpo journey.
