All applicants must have graduated with a degree from an accredited college/ university with at least a 3.00 (B) average in all undergraduate and graduate coursework. Students who do not meet these basic requirements, but who have reason to believe they can succeed in graduate work, may be considered for conditional admission on a case-by-case basis.
1. Apply online at valpo.edu/grad-apply.
Fulfilling the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Graduate students are selected for admission based on their capacity to succeed and excel in spite of the rigors of graduate study, and admission is highly competitive. While Valparaiso University offers rolling admission for many of its graduate programs, prospective students are advised to complete their applications as early as possible. Note that certain programs have their own application deadlines.
2. Submit official transcripts for all college coursework and degrees completed.
3. Secure and submit two letters of recommendation.
4. A reflective essay indicating your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree at Valparaiso University.
