HEALTH & WELLNESS PERSONAL TRAINING & GROUP TRAINING Our nationally certified trainers offer individualized one-on-one or two-on-one training programs. Our trainers will support and motivate you as you work towards your fitness goals.

WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMS The YMCA Weight Loss Program is designed to help members achieve their goals by making small, modest changes to their daily behaviors. At the Y we know weight loss is unique to each person, so this program focuses on the individual.

GROUP FITNESS The Y offers a wide range of group fitness classes including strength, mind body, and cardio classes.

VIRTUAL OFFERINGS Virtual Y, our online fitness site, features live streaming and on-demand group fitness classes. Members also have access to the Valley of the Sun YMCA App, our all-inclusive mobile app that includes a variety of features, such as fitness challenges, workout tracking and personalized YMCA updates.

VOLUNTEERISM At the Valley of the Sun YMCA, a volunteer’s time and talent can go a long way to help a child, mentor a teen or provide support for families. Volunteers come from all walks of life but they share a common trait – wanting to help others.

From leadership roles to offering your motivational support, the Valley of the Sun YMCA offers numerous programs and activities seeking volunteers.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT When partnering with the YMCA, you gain access to quality programming led by qualified and experienced staff. As a best-in-class provider of youth development, the YMCA is a reliable and trustworthy partner for organizations across the state. The Y is prepared to ensure that each child receives the nutritious meals, genuine attention, access to technology and social emotional learning they deserve.

CHILD CARE PRESCHOOL

AGES 1-5

The Y uses Creative Curriculum to create an environment where children learn through exploration and play. The YMCA offers preschool at seven locations across the Valley. We can also create an on-site preschool for your company.

BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE

AGES 5-13

The Y’s Before/After School program is a safe and caring environment where youth receive homework help, snacks and meaningful curriculum that inspires creativity and friendships. These camps are offered at 11 locations across the Valley.

OUT OF SCHOOL DAYS/HOLIDAY BREAK CAMPS

AGES 5-13

Enjoy a day or a week of our fun-filled holiday/break camps. Campers will meet new friends and participate in sports, STEAM activities and field trips.

SUMMER DAY CAMP

AGES 5-13

The Y’s theme-based weekly camp allows campers to meet new friends, learn new skills and have a blast! These camps are offered at 11 locations across the Valley.

TEEN LEADERSHIP TEEN CAMP

AGES 12-17

Teen camp allows teens the opportunity to work with Y Staff to develop their own camp experience. This youth-led camp will incorporate field trips, service projects and character development.

LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT)

AGES 13-16

LIT is a leadership training program designed to build skills that prepare youth for their first job.

YOUTH & GOVERNMENT

AGES 12-18

Youth “take-over” the state capitol every fall, simulating the legislative process and practice civil discourse in a nurturing environment.

RESIDENT CAMP CAMP SKY-Y

AGES 7-16

Camp Sky-Y has been building friendships and creating memories for Valley youth for 80 years! There is a special feeling you get when you come to camp at Camp-Sky Y. It is a place where children can enjoy being active and pursue their interests in an outdoor place!

YOUTH SPORTS Enrolling your child in youth sports at the Valley of the Sun YMCA is more than just keeping them active. Youth sports work to develop your child through teamwork, healthy competition and fun. Our volunteer driven programs create a supportive environment that allow children to develop their technical sports skills and learn the importance of sportsmanship.

RECREATIONAL/COMPETITIVE BASKETBALL

AGES 3-18

The basketball programs are designed to develop the child’s basketball skills while focusing on strategy, teamwork and sportsmanship. When enrolled in this program, participants will have one practice and one game per week.

RECREATIONAL/COMPETITIVE VOLLEYBALL

AGES 6-18

Our volleyball leagues are designed to develop fundamental volleyball skills while learning teamwork, strategy and sportsmanship. Skills taught include serving, passing, setting, hitting and the rules of the game.

AQUATICS The goal of the Valley of the Sun YMCA’s Aquatics program is to provide a positive aquatic experience. We help build self-esteem through accomplishments in the water and develop confidence through the practice of safety skills. All of the programs are progressive, building upon basic skills and progressing toward mastery of techniques.

SWIM LESSONS

AGES 6 MONTHS-ADULT

The Y has instructions for swimmers at all levels and ages. Learn skills that are geared to your personal needs with lesson times that work with your schedule. Whether you are a six-month-old newbie or adult novice, we’ve got private and group lessons to expand your water skills and comfort.

SWIM TEAM

AGES 5-18

This competitive program offers children and teens an opportunity to work with trained coaches to improve swimming skills, endurance and promote a healthy lifestyle.

LAP SWIM & WATER FITNESS

ALL AGES
