KMC Private Org. Newsletter Moving in the Right Direction It seems fi ng that on our very first edi on of a joint private organiza on newsle er, we headline with a Joint Professional Development Course. Whether it be a work ques on or something more personal, there are almost always other people who’ve gone through it who can help you. The KMC Private Organiza ons realize that service members may need the valuable advice of another NCO or SNCO but don’t know who to ask. Therefore, they’re hos ng the “Moving in the Right Direc on” professional development course. If you are between the ranks of E‐1 through E‐5 and have made mistakes and want to turn your career around, please come and join us as 2 NCO’s and 1 SNCO that have went through the same thing and have turned their careers around have an informal Q&A with you and give you the tools you need to turn your career around!!! If you’ve volunteered with a KMC 1st Four event within the past year, you’ve probably helped contribute to the St. Nikolaus Orphanage in Landstuhl. On Saturday October 26th, The KMC 1st Four president, SrA Nicholas Goldstein handed over a $5000 check to the orphanage. All the money was raised from 1st Four events and dona ons from the 786 CES on Ramstein. The orphanage said they plan on using the money to build a pavilion for the kids to enjoy while they live there. Mayor Grummer, the Landstuhl mayor was among the VIP’s at the BBQ event, along with Dr. Degenhardt, and the former 1st Four President, SrA Zachary Bach. About 30 kids and orphanage workers were at the event, along with representa ves from the Landstuhl Newspaper. They toasted with Champagne and thanked the 1st four and 786 CES for the contribu ons to make the Pavilion happen. The KMC 1st Four is looking to help give them gi s this holiday season from their 5k Jingle Bell Trot, and donate more funds to help the kids go on a Ski Trip in February.

Upcoming “Ring the Bell” Campaign We’ve probably all seen the people in Santa hats ringing the jingle bells outside of the BX before. Well what many people might not think about, is who those people are. All of those people standing in the cold ringing those bells are volunteers. Well the KMC Top 3 is going to be working with the “Ring the Bell” campaign to gather and supply volunteers during the month of December. This is a very important volunteer opportunity, as it raises money to help give food and supplies to families in need during the holidays. Also, it’s probably one of the easiest volunteer opportuni es you could ever do. JUST RING A BELL AND SMILE! If anyone is interested in helping the Top 3 coordinate this, they can contact SMSgt Michelle “Shay” Thomas.

Make us a Guinness Book of Records Holder! What be er way to raise money for charity than by breaking a world record doing something we’re all used to in the military? Doing push‐ups is something we all do mul ple mes a week or at minimum, once a year for our PT test. So why not set a record for the most people doing push ups all at the SAME TIME?? The current record for : The most people performing push ups is 352, achieved by Laboratorios Silanes S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) at Bosque de Tlalpan Park in Mexico City, Mexico, on 20 October 2012. That seems like a very small number, and one we could easily break with all the people located in the KMCC! SrA Zachary Bach has applied the KMC 1st Four to break the record of “Most people performing push ups at once.” On November 8th, the KMC 1st Four will be at the South Side Fitness Center So ball fields on Ramstein at 1400 to gather people to do push‐ups and record the number. Everyone who shows up to do push‐ups will receive a free

wristband saying “World Record Holder.” We have to break the record of 352 people, or else die from embarrassment. So please come on out, show your support and do a couple of easy push‐ups to become a world record holder. Not only would this event be making the KMC 1st Four and ALL par cipants a Guinness World Record Holder, but it would also raise funds for the St. Nikolas Orphanage. All interested Volunteers, please contact A1C Audrey Denisyeva at Audrey.Denisyeva@us.af.mil. Ar cle by A1C Valerie Lloyd

The November KMC 1st Four General Membership MeeƟng is November 6, 2013 at 1500 in the KMCC Conference room in the Food Court. (Near the Kids Play land!)

Jingle Bell Toy Trot 5k Needs Your Help! The KMC 1st Four has already started the planning process for a Jingle Bell Toy Trot 5k! This will be a shared event with the South Side Fitness Center, and it will be a toy raising event for Toys for Tots. The 5k will be on December 12th at 1400, and the Runner participates in similar holiday themed 5k. registra on fee will be an unwrapped gi for a child in need. The date is set for the event, but we s ll need a lot of help from volunteers. We will have a booth set up in the KMCC adver sing the event and ge ng people to sign up. We will plan to have people sit there from 1100‐1300 on Monday’s through Thursday’s; and on Fridays/ Saturdays we will have two shi s from 1000‐1200 and 1200‐1400. How much easier could it get?! Just sit at a booth and spread the word about this great 5k event. We will also need 12‐15 people for road guard and water sta on duty for the day of the event. They will need to report on 12 December at 1300 for duty. The 5k event will also be providing free hot cocoa for par cipants thanks to the KMC 1st Four. If you’re interested in volunteering for this event, contact A1C Audrey Denisyeva at Audrey.Denisyeva@us.af.mil. Ar cle by A1C Valerie Lloyd
