Welcome to Fairhive Homes strategy for 2025 – 30. Our strategy sets out our ambitious plans for the next five years. It builds on what we delivered over the last five years; continuing the momentum of growth, excellent services delivered for our residents, our work with the local community and how we make sure our homes are safe and well maintained.
We are proud to be a leading provider of social and affordable homes in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding authorities. Over the past five years we have faced a number of challenges including the Covid19 pandemic. Many of those challenges persist today especially the economic outlook and the cost of living pressures on our residents. Throughout our new strategy we set out our plans and proposals which show our determination to ensure we put residents at the heart of all we do, continue to develop new homes for those in housing need, maintain the health and safety of our existing homes, and ensure we manage the organisation to give our residents value for money. In addition, we will continue to make significant
improvements in our environmental sustainability as a business and the energy efficiency of our homes. We will continue to meet the expectations of our residents by making sure they have a voice and strong influence over all that we do. Throughout our strategy we show how we are delivering ‘Homes for living, communities for life’ and our core mission of providing decent affordable homes for those in housing need remains strong. We will ensure our services are of high quality, developed and delivered in-line with our residents’ needs and expectations.
We will make it easier for our residents to engage with us on the things that are important to them, as well as being able to hold us to account. Expanding the ways residents can communicate with us enables those who want to self-serve, to do so seamlessly. We always aim to get things right first time, by finding creative solutions to help residents make the most of their incomes, helping them stay in their homes.
To do this, we will better understand our residents at a local level – who they are, what might limit their ability to access our services, as well as the community resources available to support their needs and aspirations.

We will ensure all our homes are safe as well as compliant and located within communities where our residents want to live. The information we hold on our homes will be accurate and up-to-date so planned improvements can be coordinated, reducing demand on repairs and those teams getting empty homes ready for renting.
We will continue to check property performance, (financial, social and environmental) when a home becomes empty, allowing us to make informed decisions on whether to invest more, redevelop or sell the property and reinvest the funds.

We must ensure that households are protected from the effects of global warming and contribute to a greener society. We will improve the energy efficiency of our residents’ homes. We will take steps to reduce our environmental impacts around waste, pollution and overheating as well as improving green spaces.

We will continue to build an organisation with a strong positive culture where employees are engaged, valued and passionate about what they do. We will bring people together using new technologies to maximise flexibility and reduce constraints, enabling us to improve our service delivery to our residents and communities.
