SHIFTING SPACES
Dismountable houses
Exploring the flexibility of the interior space and its connection to the outside
Nominated for Leslie Jones Construction Prize 2022
BRIEF
After determining the materials used in its construction, the feasibility of dismantling the chalet and repurposing the components to construct a new dwelling is investigated.

PLANS AND SECTIONS OF THE EXISTING
The house had a laberynth-like appearance, as there were no direct views or paths, and the amount of area available for circulation was minimal.

PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTION
The proposed dwelling is a detachable structure that may be installed anywhere. It is constructed on stilts to lessen the impact of its base on the earth and to make mounting and dismounting easier. The entire structure’s weight is supported by a grid of columns and a heavier central core, which allows the exterior walls to slide to the required position and the inner rooms to be freely adjusted based on the needs of the occupants.
MATERIAL AND STRUCTURAL EXPLORATION
The main idea behind this proposed home is that it would be constructed entirely of natural materials such as wood, wool insulation, and birch bark for waterproofing... As the components from the previous holiday chalet are reused, they undergo a selection procedure to distinguish between natural and polymer-based products. Plastic-based ones are shrunk and reused in the house’s central core to avoid contributing to the disposal of these components.

THE MEADOW RACES
Inside the same land
Exploring the possibiltiy of a cohabitation between horses and humans
Nominated for Leslie Jones Construction Prize 2022
BRIEF
The purpose of the project is to create a racecourse that will introduce guests to the world of horses and improve their relationship with them. The equestrian life and all of the activities associated with the training phase of a horse’s career are featured in the track’s center. To achieve this open link between the two worlds, these are visible to the visitor’s view from all points of the site.
INTEGRATION WITHIN THE LANDSCAPE
The main concept of this project is to create a racecourse that is integrated with the surrounding landscape to preserve the character of the site. To achieve this, the topography of the ground will be excavated and the earth digged out will be used to create the higher levels of the terrain.
In terms of amenities, the site will consist of four main buildings that will sit lightly on the created ground. The middle of the racetrack will be used as a space to enhance the relationship between people and horses, and the building that is located outside will act as a viewing platform of this equestrian life and the race.

RACECOURSE OVERALL VIEW
To address the present environmental effect of the construction industry, all materials utilized in the execution of this project are locally obtained or natural materials.
Furthermore, all of the structures on the site have the same architectural and material language, which helps to integrate the architecture with the surrounding landscape.

MOTHER STUDIO LONDON Internship
VILLA DIAMANTE
A luxurious individual villa located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The purpose of the project is to create a villa that is inspired by the extravagant architecture of Dubai. The main elements of the building are tall walls with large glass openings and luxurious materials. The villa’s interior is minimalistic and stylish, but it still has a magnificent feel to it because to the double height areas and the components employed in its decoration.
TROPIKA HOUSE
A small private luxurious resort located in Trancoso, Brazil. The project’s purpose is to create a magnificent resort that best reflects the Brazilian environment. The spaces are all open to the outside, blurring the line between outside and inside areas and creating a tropical experience regardless of the venue.
HOUSE OF MATCHING COLOURS
The purpose of the project is to design the inside of a fashion boutique in Miami’s Faena hotel. The store has a sophisticated but simple aesthetic, with gold and red colors, as well as marble and other natural materials. As part of a fashion store/ church surrounded by tropical foliage, the customer wants an interior that creates a story-telling, fantasy experience.
VENICE ARCHITECTURAL BIENNALE
The purpose of the project is to design an exhibition proposal for Argentina for the 2023 Venice Architectural Biennale. The idea behind the design is to represent the street culture in Argentina, their street markets and the atmosphere that breathes when you walk around them. Added to that, is the idea of using virtual reality as an exchange of goods (food, elements and knowledge). The idea is that, only with the help of your phone and the right environment set up, you can be transported to a different country with a different culture.
Work Experience - Part 1 Architectural Assistant
LESLIE JONES ARCHITECTURE
Out of the 12 projects I worked on, I extracted 4 to show the extent of my work during this period.
EPSOM - Stage 3
This project, located in Epsom’s city centre, involved reconfiguring an existing mall. Specifically, the part of the project I was involved in consisted of reconfiguring one specific unit that took up to two floors.
My contribution to the project consisted of producing drawings (sections, plans and elevations) and coordinating with suppliers to ensure we had all the correct details for the NBS specification and to annotate the plans correctly.
This project, which I was part of from beginning to end (delivery), allowed me to become familiar with the timetable and the requirements of a stage 3 project. It also allowed me to learn a new program called Microstation and become comfortable and fluid with it.

GRIMSBY - Stage 2
This project is part of the reconfiguration plan of Grimsby’s town centre. Specifically, the market square is the aim of this project. Surrounded by a cinema, some F&B units, a shopping mall and a food market, the goal is to create a more appealing square to bring more life to the town. The food market is reconfigured into an area that houses two distinct activities: a market food hall and a market where fresh produce is brought in every day.
My contribution to the project consisted of designing a food stall proposal for 6 stalls that would be located in the middle of the area. They needed to be optimized as much as possible to not interrupt the circulation and to accommodate as many stools as possible outside the area and as many appliances as possible inside the space.
This was my first project in the firm and allowed me to improve my skills in Sketchup and to get used to the working habits of the teams. It allowed me to develop my design skills to be able to answer better to a specific brief.

PORTSMOUTH - Stage 2
This project is part of a larger plan to reconfigure the council building of Portsmouth city center. Next to a Queen Victoria statue, which we had to include in the design, a theatre hall and some accommodation, the project consisted on reconfiguring a 6 storey building.
My contribution to this project was to create visuals that would represent the ideas of the project. I post-produced sections, plans and final views in the style of the project and helped make presentations for client meetings.
This project allowed me to develop my post-production skills, learn how to clearly communicate a project visually and how to make it appealing at first sight to the client.

REGENT STREET - Stage 2
This project consisted on reconfiguring a Victorian building in Regent Street, London. Both getting inspired by the Victorian buildings surrounding it plus the glasshouse concept that was envisioned because of the high amount of windows the building had, this project consisted on designing hybrid offices that would be able to accommodate both client and buyers.
My contribution in this project was to, in collaboration with a team colleague, design possible internal arrangements for three floors of the building, using the space to its full potential by interacting with it and taking advantage of all the opportunities the building offered. Additionally, I was asked to model and create visuals of two different options for the reception of the offices. These options were inspired by the glasshouse vibe mentioned above.
This project allowed me to learn a new rendering program (Enscape) and develop my Sketchup skills even further. It also allowed me to get introduced into the office planning and improve my design skills, especially in integrating the design to the existing site and making it answer to a specific brief.
