Adopting a child is a long process that can take anywhere between three months up to two years to complete, which is a frustrating, overwhelming period for prospective parents, especially those who are part of a minority group, for whom the wait time can double. That’s why the New Beginnings Adoption Program welcomes everyone and prioritizes diversity.

GROWTH CONNECTION
One of the main causes for prospective parents to not go through with an adoption process is the fear and anxiety of not being prepared enough. It has been proven that prospective parents are more likely to continue with the adoption process when offered clear guidance from the agencies. Confident parents tend to raise confident children; therefore, the New Beginnings Adoption Program offers parenting classes that provide the necessary basic skill set to ease their anxiety and raise their confidence. The building must have available spaces to accommodate these classes.
Team members are motivated by working benefits such as childcare and public transportation allowances, healthy food bar, coffee shop and free counseling.

06 Mother’s Day
The narrative of this project follos the story of a child who is surprising his mom on Mother’s Day. I aimed to arrange the views in an order that showcases the mom’s emotions as her child gets lost but later surprises her. In the first view, the mom and her child arrive at the library, followed by the next view in which the mother goes up the stairs while the child runs away without her noticing. In the third view, the mom runs through the library trying to find her child. Here the colors of the view get darker as the mom’s worry increases. Finally, in the last view, the mom enters a room where her child and her husband are waiting to surprise her with flowers for Mother’s Day.
