The Midnight KARA Maiden MAE ADAMO She peaks out through midnight eves
She’ll kiss the Sun along the way
And crunches lightly on fallen leaves.
And make him blush as he runs away.
Her pale opalescent skin glows,
For this is their sweet love affair,
Shimmering from head to toe
This allusive, polar, cosmic pair.
As moonlight dances in midnight eyes,
A cool wind comes to brush her cheek,
And sparkles like stars in midnight skies.
And thus her skirts will further sweep;
Owls watch her graceful form
It will spread dandelion seeds
As daylight dies and night is born.
And make roll the tumbleweeds.
Bright butterflies give way to moths
Water laps along the bank
And spiders spin their web-like cloths.
As her stars reflect upon the lake.
Blue birds sleep and bats take flight
The sunset pales as she goes
As she carefully brings the night.
While fireflies tickle her toes.
Her long black dress over land flows
And if you stay up late one night,
As she ascends and casts shadows.
