LOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR LITTLE ONES Vale do Lobo has designed an exciting entertainment programme for little ones this February, which includes Carnival celebrations and entertainment during the February school holidays. Head down to the Praça and / or Parque do Golfe complex where the team of professionals from “Oficina de Sonhos” will be putting on a fantastic programme of activities from 14:30h to 17:30h daily, between the 15th February and 1st March.

Children can play on bouncy castles, enjoy the amazing art of balloon modelling, have their face painted or even take part in one of the themed workshops. Register and pay for any of the activities on-site, with the company “Oficina de Sonhos”.

Art workshops by renowned artist Aderita Silva continue to be held every Saturday in the Vale do Lobo Artistic Space, between 10:45h and 12:00h. This month, we have several workshops on a variety of themes, such as drawing, music and nature. These creative workshops provide a relaxed “artistic breakfast by Aderita” providing you with new experiences while stimulating your creativity. Meet the challenge head-on and sign up!

JAZZ NIGHT BY THE OJA QUINTET On the 22nd February, the Vale do Lobo Auditorium will host an intimate Jazz evening with performances by the OJA Quintet (Algarve Jazz Orchestra). Promising to be a true musical journey, it will include everything from the greatest hits of the 60s to the present day. The OJA Quintet will feature the voice of Ana Rita Inácio, who has previously represented Portugal at the Eurovision song contest, starting with Smooth Summertime Jazz and progressing to tunes that made their mark on 20th Century Jazz. Directed by Hugo Alves, the quintet’s very own trumpet player, other members of the band include Diogo Russo on the piano, Luis Henrique on the double bass and Michael Lauren on the drums. Jazz Night will be set up like a cabaret, with tables, a dance floor next to the stage and a bar service, which will be available throughout the event.

Get ready for a vibrant night of glitz and glamour!

NEW ADERITA ARTISTIC SPACE AND ART EXHIBITION “THE SQUARE” As part of a new partnership between Vale do Lobo and the renowned artist Aderita Silva, the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery will officially be opening another exhibition space on the 10th February: the Vale do Lobo Artistic Space. Talent, culture and the arts have been supported and shared by the resort over the years, so this will be a new, additional space dedicated to creativity, in which the artist will hold initiatives and regular activities.

Aderita Silva was born in the Algarve in 1958, but she really began developing as an artist in Paris, where she lived, studied and worked for many years, in the advertising and fashion design sectors. The combination of these two artistic expressions led her to painting and the beautifully diverse world of the arts. Now, by embracing this project and space in Vale do Lobo, Aderita promises to cultivate new, fresh ideas, guided by talent, creativity and her innate passion for the arts.

The official opening of the Vale do Lobo Artistic Space by Aderita will also be marked by the launch of a first exhibition of Silvia Cavelti, entitled “The Square”. The event will take place on Monday 10th February at 17:00h, at the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery, located in the Vale do Lobo Shopping Centre. Admission is Free. Live music performed by “Sonata Duo” and a cocktail reception promise to make this an unmissable event.

2 ND VDL TALKS “SLEEPOLOGY” 2020 is already shaping up to be packed with surprises. One of them is the return of the VDL Talks initiative, an event dedicated to sharing and discussing ideas and themes that are important to society, especially geared towards Resort Members (Resort Card holders). The first edition of the year will take place at the Club of Clubs on Thursday 20th of February, at 17:00h. This VDL Talks will focus on the subject of sleep (Sleepology), and will be followed by a cocktail reception. Two well-known motivational speakers will be presenting; experts in the subject, who promise to make this an exceptional event in which the Vale do Lobo community is sure to get involved in dynamic, interactive debates. One of the guests of this edition will be Steve McKeown - Director of MindFixers, Psychoanalyst and Hypnotherapist. In his talk, the Master of all things Mind intends to teach participants how to manage stress levels, revealing how they directly influence sleep. A live hypnosis session will demonstrate how participants can lead their mind into a deeper, more relaxed sleep.

The second guest at this exciting edition of VDL Talks is a real-life “Sleep Guru” - Anandi, who has been a health and well-being professional for over 30 years. She is also the founder of the Sleepology® concept, a new form of wellbeing and an in-depth look into of the causes of stress, exhaustion and sleep problems. Participation in the 2nd VDL Sleep Talks is free of charge, but we kindly request that you register, letting us know you’ll be attending, so that the room and catering service can be set-up accordingly. As part of the set of initiatives held at the resort as part of the Mindful Movement, which started in late January, Vale do Lobo is holding new workshops by Prof. Per Norrgren between the 13th and 27th of February.

This year, we’re dedicating ourselves to improving the personal wellbeing of our Resort Members, so we’ve invited the Master of the Mindful Movement and Yoga Teacher, Per Norrgren, back again, to hold a workshop on Sleep Awareness and Anxiety. Join us on the 21st of February at 15:00h for a workshop that will take place over approximately 4 hours.

During the session, participants will learn mechanisms and exercises to increase their awareness of the importance of sleep to significantly improve their sleep quality, contributing to an increased quality of life. One thing’s for sure - you’ll be resting easier after this session!

FITNESS RECEIPT - MANGO LIME MOUSSE INGREDIENTS: 2 mangos, diced | ½ cup fat free ricotta cheese | 1 cup skimmed milk | 1 tsp lime zest 2 tbsp. lime juice | 1 envelope of unflavoured gelatine | ¼ cup water | 1 tsp stevia INSTRUCTIONS: 1. In a food processor or a blender, combine the mangoes, ricotta, sugar, lime zest, and lime juice; 2. Sprinkle gelatine over water and let stand until softened, then pour into the food processor, stirring until the consistency of mash is reached; 3. In a saucepan, bring milk to a boil and pour into food processor with the mango mixture, puree; 4. Pour mousse into dishes place in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

JUNIOR GOLF ACADEMY IN FEBRUARY Take advantage of the holidays to get your children perfecting their skills and having fun at the Junior Golf Academies in Vale do Lobo. Small group lessons with the resort Golf Professional are the best way for children to learn the art and fun of golf. Courses will be held throughout the year, with the first edition taking place this month between the 24th and 28th of February, between 14:00h and 16:00h. Swing, putting and chipping techniques will all be taught, as well as the rules of the game and various competitive challenges will be held on the golf course itself.

This is the perfect opportunity for children who already have some golf experience, but who want to progress to a new level. And who knows, they may even want to challenge their parents at the end of the week! Price is â‚Ź100 per child and you must register in advance. MÁRIO MARTINS - PLOT 572 The Mário Martins Architecture Atelier (MMA), located in the Algarve, has become a renowned firm thanks to the team’s vast experience, high degree of creativity and the personal touch each member of the team brings to each project they work on.

Plot 572 is one of the many projects the atelier has worked on, a spacious plot located at the entrance of Vale do Lobo. Covering a large, flat area, it has breath-taking views over rolling green golf courses to the east and south. The stone pines in this lot help to create a necessary sense of privacy, but above all, they are proof of the true nature of the area. Integrated into the design of the villa and framed by scattered patios, they bring nature into the structure of the house itself, forming an essential design element.

ACADEMIA DE GOLFE JUVENIL EM FEVEREIRO Aproveite as férias para os seus filhos aperfeiçoarem as suas habilidades e divertirem-se nas Academias de Golfe Juvenil em Vale do Lobo. Aulas com o profissional do resort em grupos pequenos são a melhor forma das crianças aprenderem a arte e a diversão do golfe. Os cursos serão realizados durante todo o ano, com a primeira edição a decorrer já este mês entre os dias 24 e 28 de Fevereiro, das 14:00h às 16:00h, onde serão ensinadas as técnicas de swing, putting ou chipping, bem como as regras de jogo e vários desafios competitivos no campo. Aula Movimento Mindful Workshop sobre a Consciência do Sono e a Ansiedade Aula Movimento Mindful

No âmbito do conjunto de iniciativas no resort subordinadas ao Movimento Mindful, e que tiveram início em Janeiro, Vale do Lobo volta a promover novas aulas pelo Prof. Per Norrgren ao longo deste mês, nos dias 13 e 27 de Fevereiro, entre as 10:00h e as 11:00h. Este ano é especialmente dedicado ao bem-estar pessoal dos nossos Resort Members, e por isso convidámos novamente o Mestre em Movimento Mindful e Professor de Yoga, Per Norrgren, para a realização de um workshop sobre a Consciência do Sono e a Ansiedade que terá lugar no dia 21 de Fevereiro, pelas 15:00h com a duração de 4 horas aproximadamente. Durante a sessão irá aprender mecanismos e exercícios que permitem ganhar consciência da importância do sono e melhorá-lo significativamente contribuindo para um aumento da qualidade de vida.

RECEITA FITNESS - MOUSSE DE MANGA E LIMA INGREDIENTES (4 Doses): 2 mangas cortadas em cubos| ½ chávena de queijo ricotta magro | 1 chávena de leite desnatado | 1 colher de chá de raspas de lima | 2 colheres de sopa de sumo de lima 1 folha de gelatina simples | ¼ chávena de água | 1 colher de chá de stevia PREPARAÇÃO: 1. Junte as mangas, o queijo ricotta, a stevia, as raspas de lima e o sumo de limão num robot de cozinha ou liquidificador e bata até ficar um preparado consistente; 2. Num pequeno recipiente, deixe a gelatina absorver a água fria até ficar macia e adicione depois ao restante preparado; 3. Numa panela leve o leite ao lume até ferver e adicione à restante mistura envolvendo até obter uma consistência de puré; 4. Verta a mousse em taças individuais, coloque no frigorifico pelo menos 2 horas antes de servir.

NOVO ADERITA ARTISTIC SPACE E EXPOSIÇÃO DE ARTE “O QUADRADO” No âmbito de uma nova parceria entre Vale do Lobo e a conceituada artista Aderita Silva, a Galeria de Arte Vale do Lobo terá, oficialmente, também a partir do dia 10 de Fevereiro um outro espaço de exposição: o Vale do Lobo Artistic Space. O talento, a cultura e as artes sempre foram apoiados e divulgados pelo resort ao longo dos anos, pelo que este será um novo espaço complementar de criação, iniciativas e actividades regulares promovidas pela artista. Adérita Silva nasceu no Algarve em 1958, mas o seu desenvolvimento artístico começou em Paris, onde estudou e viveu durante muitos anos, trabalhando em publicidade e estilismo. A combinação destas duas expressões artísticas conduziu-a à pintura e ao mundo das artes que nas suas mais diversas expressões. Ao abraçar este projecto e espaço em Vale do Lobo, Aderita promete agora muitas e emocionantes novidades, pautadas pelo talento, criatividade e sua inata paixão pelas artes. A inauguração oficial do Vale do Lobo Artistic Space by Aderita será também assinalada pelo lançamento da primeira exposição por Silvia Cavelti intitulada “O Quadrado”. O evento terá lugar na segunda-feira, dia 10 de Fevereiro de 2020 pelas 17:00h, na Galeria de Arte de Vale do Lobo, no Vale do Lobo Shopping, com entrada livre.

A ocasião será celebrada com um cocktail e música ao vivo pela formação “Sonata Duo”.

2º VDL TALKS SUBORDINADO AO SONO 2020 é um ano que traz consigo muitas surpresas. Uma delas é o regresso das iniciativas VDL Talks dedicadas à partilha e discussão de ideias e temas valorizados pela sociedade, especialmente dedicadas aos Resort Members (Membros do Clube de Proprietários portadores de resort cards). A primeira edição deste ano terá lugar no próximo dia 20 de Fevereiro, quinta-feira, pelas 17:00h, no Club of Clubs, com o tema central alusivo ao Sono (Sleepology), seguida de cocktail convívio no final. O evento conta com dois conceituados oradores e palestrantes motivacionais de renome, profissionais desta área que antecipam uma excepcional edição com dinâmicos e interactivos debates com a comunidade de Vale do Lobo. Um dos convidados desta edição será o Steve McKeown – Director da MindFixers, Psicanalista e Hipnoterapeuta. Ao longo da sua intervenção, o Mestre em temáticas da Mente pretende ensinar aos participantes como gerir os níveis de stress, revelando como estes influenciam directamente o sono. Através da realização de uma sessão de hipnose ao vivo, poderá aprender a conduzir a sua mente para um sono mais profundo e relaxado. A segunda convidada desta emocionante edição VDL Talks, é uma autêntica “Guru do Sono” – Anandi, profissional em saúde e bem-estar há mais de 30 anos e fundadora do conceito Sleepology® que se trata de um novo processo de bem-estar e uma investigaçãoaprofundada sobre as causas dos problemas de estresse, exaustão e sono.

MUITA ANIMAÇÃO PARA OS MAIS NOVOS

NOITE DE JAZZ PELO QUINTETO OJA

Para a comunidade mais jovem, Vale do Lobo desenvolveu um aliciante programa de animação para o mês de Fevereiro deste ano, que agrega as celebrações de Carnaval e o período de férias escolares intercalares. A equipa de profissionais “Oficina de Sonhos” proporcionará, entre os dias 15 de Fevereiro e 01 de Março um fantástico programa de actividades para os mais novos, diariamente das 14:30h às 17:30h no complexo da Praça e/ou Parque do Golfe.

Os mais pequenos podem assim brincar nos insufláveis, desfrutar da surpreendente arte da modelagem de balões, fazer uma colorida pintura facial ou mesmo participar num dos ateliers temáticos. No dia 22 de Fevereiro, o Auditorium de Vale do Lobo vai ser palco de uma noite intimista de Jazz preconizada pelo Quinteto OJA (Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve). Uma noite que promete uma verdadeira viagem musical que inclui desde os grandes temas dos anos 60 até aos êxitos dos nossos dias. O Quinteto OJA convida Ana Rita Inácio, uma voz que já levou Portugal ao Festival Eurovisão da Canção, para apresentar um conjunto de temas que começam no Smooth Jazz de um Summertime a outros temas emblemáticos do Jazz do século XX. Sob a Direcção de Hugo Alves também no trompete, o concerto será interpretado pelos músicos Diogo Russo no piano, Luis Henrique no contrabaixo e Michael Lauren na bateria. A Noite de Jazz terá o formato cabaret com disposição em mesas, pista de dança junto ao palco e serviço de bar disponível ao longo de todo o evento.
