Club Chronicle
WINTER 2017-2018
Dear Vail Mountain Club Members,
It has been another summer filled with sunshine and fun activities.
We traveled to Barolo, Italy for our first dining, wining, and cycling trip. We hiked scenic trails and even stood on the summit of Colorado’s highest peak, Mount Elbert, as well as exploring Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains. Many Signature Club members joined us for the annual Aspen bike trip. Our Independence Day celebration, weekly road bike rides around the Valley, chef demos and a wine and cheese event up at The 10th, as well as lively book club discussions kept us busy all summer long.
Fun was the name of the game for the VMC kids who attended our summer camps full of outdoor adventures including white water rafting, ziplining, and horseback riding. Welcome to our new members from the past season. We are excited to have you experience your first winter with the Club! This season will feature a powder skiing trip to Hokkaido, Japan and a cycling trip to Southern France next May. We will join with other Signature Clubs for ski camps, social ski days in nearby resorts, snowshoe and dining evenings, and other social occasions. Of course, the winter holiday
party at The 10th, First and Last Tracks are the seasonal highlights not to be missed. This Club Chronicle outlines the season’s featured events. For up-to-date information about all Club activities, please visit our online calendar at www.vailmountainclub.com. We look forward to welcoming you at the Club this winter. Sincerely, Jane Ivy Club Director
