People love to go social but they affraid of being exposed, especially with their personal information. Good security system can guarantee their users data and memories to be secured. While the mobile device keep getting more and more multi-functional, precious and private information such as bank account and e-wallet can not be exposed.

WHAT makes GOOD MOBILE OPERATING SYSTEM?

iOS has been well-known for its security system - “Invest your money in our wares, and weʼll stay out of your life”. Even when your phone is stolen, personal information still remain protected.

UI/UX Good UI/UX system is hard to recognize since “great designs should be experienced and not seen” (Jared M.Spool, 2009).

We donʼt want the users to get confused and frusrated about where to tap or how to do something on their phone. Mobile device means to perform tasks as quickly and easily as it could be. A good UI/UX system is clearly structured and users can figure out the information immediately. iOS has a way to respond their users when they do something wrong. For example, the home screen said “slide to unlock”, but when you trying to tap or do something else, the phone will jiggle its screen to warn thatʼs not the right way to unlock the phone.

UP TO DATE How fascinating when it was the first time the touch screen phone was released or water-proof mobile device. People love new technology so as quickly smoothly operating phone. Even tiny changes in the technology attract users. Quickly adapt new technology OS usually be preferred than those are not.

WHAT makes bad MOBILE OPERATING SYSTEM?

For example, regarding the internet, sending files from iOS phone to an Android phone can be tricky. Android tend to create a sharing community by inventing many ways to send files easily such as external SD card, PC connect without extra softwares, NFC, etc).

Meanwhile iOS wants to create a special community ofr iOS user only which means their users have to use a different methods to exhange files.

UI/UX Bad UI/UX cause confusion and frustration. It also takes the users much time to explore a feature.

I once experience the consequence of bad UI/UX on mobile operating systemo through ASUS phone. When the phone receive a phone call, the screen appear a bar with 2 sides - one red and one green. If I silde to a red side, the bar will be filled with the green part and accept the call and vice versa. This cause frustration because red means decline.

CONSERVATION Many phone enterprise has gone because of their incapacity of following the technology

Being hacked and bugged is not funny but over-protected can be irritating. We live in the world of connecting so people get frustrated when itĘźs too complicated to share a piece of information such as a photo, a song or a video.

WHAT makes GOOD MOBILE application?

By creating an app means bringing the solution to the users. The more creative the solution is, the more successful the app becomes. For instance, one way to encourage people to walk more is not through the exercise app but through a game (Pokemon go).

Furthermore, the app also need to be stable and fast. Since a mobile device means to be on-the-go, people hate their apps to be slow and crash while using them.

DESIGN A design aspect for an application is extremely critical. Some apps might be well-functioned but nobody going to use them if their interface is terrible.

Great app design appliy design principle, study about their customer behaviours. Everything is cleary structured and the information layers are placed logically. The visual asthetic easily attract people and support the main purpose of the application as well.

A purpose of a mobile application is to solve problems but which ones? ItĘźs not easy to be able to identify the right issue that occur in daily life. A problem need to be fixed could be small but as long as many people are suffering the same thing and desiring a solution. Productivity apps such as weather forecast, bill spliting, finding a song that we hear, etc are solving a small issue but many people share that issue. Do one thing but do it well.

A bad app is one that cause confusion confusionto the users – it does not meet user needs and does not do what itʼs intended to do. Since there is no product that can fits everyone desires. All apps are created with an intended audience – a particular country, age, gender or area of interest. If the requirements are defined without taking the user audience into account, just to satisfy the likes of the product owner, it is likely to fail.

Also, businesses who do not invest in their app and only do the minimum will end up have their product can not stand out from the ground. Apps should look and feel like your brand and should be enticing to pull people in and keep them coming back.

Different device serves a different purpose. For example, Samsung Galaxy Note suites ones who need big screen and loves to take notes with their phone, iphone sis a match for who needs security and a long-lasting phone, Nokia for ones who just need some basic features, Oppo for selfie lovers.

Therefore it始s hard to tell whether that device is good or bad. It depends on the users始 needs. But a device should have a clear strategy for the targeted group. There is no device that can fit for all. If there is any device try do accomplish that, it must be a phone that nobody wants to buy it.

PRICING Price should be go with the quality of the mobile device. The more features it offered, the more expensive the phone can be. However, mobile phone industry is really competitive nowsaday. New technology is attractive but as long as you are the only one who has it.

If the competitor follow the technology with the lower price, the more expensive phone can not be survived.

DESIGN A phone shape can effect so much to the overall feelings or the users. Some may prefer the curved edges some may not. Some prefer this color not that color. This is all about expressing the users始 personalities. However, a mobile device design should be fit in hands, not slippery cause nobody wants a phone that they can始t hold in their hand.
