“Working within Dining Services set me up with a good support system both in the full-time staff and the student leadership group. They worked one-on-one with me to plan out my days around classes and shifts, which was something I struggled with in high school. Having the same schedule every week makes it easier to do homework and have time for a personal life.”

WHO WE ARE. WHAT WE DO.

Dining and Summer Conferences enhances the educational experience by creating sustainable meals and nourishing a diverse community.

WHY WE MATTER.

In everything we do to feed our campus community, we’re committed to quality, value, student employment and sustainability.

LEARNING AND CARE CENTER

“The University Child Learning and Care Center has provided me with the opportunity to foster and develop skills that will enhance my future career as a speech language pathologist. Throughout the last five years, as I have attended UWSP for my undergrad and master’s degree, the UCLCC has given me a place where I can be supported. I’ve learned so much from the educators that work there because they’ve invested time and energy to develop the skills of college students pursuing careers to work with children in a variety of capacities. I’m so thankful for the support of our school family.”

WHO WE ARE. WHAT WE DO.

The Helen R. Godfrey University Child Learning and Care Center provides a high-quality, developmentally appropriate environment for children and their families.

WHY WE MATTER.

We’re a model educational and training site collaborating with partners throughout the campus and community for early childhood development and teacher education.

We were nominated by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and awarded the U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School award—one of only three early learning centers nationwide to earn this recognition.
