Ullrich Hall

• Built 1916 | Renovated 2005 • Houses laboratories, classrooms, and offices for accounting, business, computer science and software engineering • Named after Fred Ullrich, biological sciences instructor in 1914 and agriculture school director

Boebel Hall

• Built 1976 | Renovated 2021 • Houses laboratories, preparation and support space, classrooms, and research space for biology, environmental sciences and society, and chemistry • Named after Leo Boebel, dean of Arts and Sciences

Gardner Hall

1866 Platteville State Normal School was founded as the first state teacher preparation institution in Wisconsin

1908–15 Wisconsin Mining Trade School established to train specialized technicians to work in local mining operations

1915–39 Wisconsin Mining School became the first school in the United States to offer a three-year degree of study in mining engineering

1939–59 Wisconsin Institute of Technology established

1959–66 Wisconsin State College and Institute of Technology at Platteville established

1964–71 Wisconsin State University-Platteville, Division of Technology became the School of Engineering

1966 Ottensman Centennial Hall of Engineering-Science opened, coinciding with Platteville State Normal School 100-year anniversary

1976 School of Engineering became the College of Engineering

1971 University of Wisconsin-Platteville established

1994 College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science established

2016 University of Wisconsin-Platteville celebrates its 150-year anniversary

Today Sesquicentennial Hall is on its way
