A Timeless Venue in the Heart of Utah Valley

Once the home of Melanie Laycock Bastian, Lakemount Manor — now a 39,000 square foot estate-turned-artmuseum — boasts exquisite architectural details including original woodwork, expansive windows, and ornate ceilings. Situated on eight meticulously landscaped acres, the manor has been preserved to maintain its historic splendor while providing modern amenities for seamless events. The Museum’s art collection and period furnishings create a distinctive, memorable atmosphere for your guests.

Weddings at the Museum

The UVU Museum of Art at Lakemount offers limited wedding bookings each year, during which the entire museum is closed to the public — providing couples with exclusive access to host their dream celebration on the estate grounds.

Booking Information

Pricing

The base rate for wedding rentals is $10,000, which includes a 12-hour reservation (typically 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), exclusive use of the property, full Museum closure to the public, and facility support, including optional guided tours. Due to the staffing and preparation required, partial-day rentals are not available.

Additional setup or breakdown time may be rented at the general event hourly rate for the Art Haus or Terrace on days adjacent to the wedding. Deliveries and pickups outside the reservation window must be arranged in advance with Museum staff on a case-by-case basis.

All furnishings – including tents, tables, chairs, linens, lighting, and sound systems – must be booked through third-party vendors. Please refer to our approved and preferred vendors page.

Catering

Weddings must use an approved caterer from the Museum’s contracted vendor list. Please refer to our approved and preferred vendors page. No exceptions are made other than wedding cakes, which may be sourced separately.

Weddings may be scheduled Monday through Saturday, from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September of each year. Please note that blackout dates may apply due to Museum programming.

Wedding Planners

Each wedding must designate a professional event or wedding planner as the primary point of contact. No exceptions are made.

Unique Spaces for Your Wedding Celebrations

Wedding Facilities

The Museum can accommodate up to 200 guests in the outdoor event space, including the Terrace, the adjacent Sculpture Garden, and the Art Haus — complete with a bridal suite and guest restrooms. The Family Room inside the Museum is also available as an optional groom’s suite.

Gallery spaces are not included in the rental; however, Museum staff will be on-site during the wedding and available to provide optional guided tours for guests.

On-site parking accommodates approximately 50 vehicles, with overflow available on the museum side of the street. Vendors may park near the Museum garages for direct access to the Blue Kitchen via the Staff Entrance.

Please note that bridal showers, engagement parties, and other additional events are not included in wedding packages and must be booked separately. Pricing for separate events is listed in the description of each facility.

Art Haus

Add a touch of creativity to your events by booking the Art Haus, the Museum’s dedicated arts education space, housed in the manor’s former pool house. Ideal for small gatherings before the big day, such as bridal showers or engagement parties, it also serves as a catering area during weddings.

Capacity: 32 seated adults

Price: $200/hr

Blue Kitchen and Family Room

A favorite gathering space of the former residents, the Blue Kitchen and Family Room now serve as a private event area closed to museum visitors. The kitchen is ideal for catering setup and connects via a butler’s pantry to the Family Room, which may also be used as an additional suite.

Capacity: 14-20 guests, dependent on the seating layout. Please note: Stoves are non-functional.

Price: $200/hour

*Prices listed reflect the cost of venues when reserved outside of wedding packages.
