Our faculty offer a personalized, transformative curriculum that prepares students to become forward-thinking problem solvers in this rapidly changing world. We want students to embrace the challenges of academic rigor through “real world” experiences that utilize both local and global connections to our diverse network of companies and leaders. Our students are the future of business and will positively impact the world. Their experiences at the Collins College of Business will open the doors to their future.

Alumni, stakeholders, faculty, staff and students came together to develop the Collins College of Business Strategic Plan in spring 2022. This plan guides us in fulfilling our mission of empowering the next generation of business leaders. Our strategy is guided by focus in the following areas:

STRATEGIC GOAL 1: Student Experience

We want our students to become lifelong ambassadors for our college, inspired and transformed by their personalized experience at Collins College. Actions to enhance the student experience include:

• Introducing options for international leadership development programs for MBA students.

• Developing capstone projects with national and international clients that provide opportunity for our students to make societal impact.

• Updating our energy studies programs to ensure students are prepared for today’s rapidly changing energy industries.

• Providing diverse student organization experiences that enhance a student’s leadership skills and connection with Collins College while enhancing retention.

• Exploring innovative learning options that leverage our unique brand of personalized education.

• Dedicating resources and talent while leaning into innovation and entrepreneurship, energy, analytics, and real estate education while elevating student experience.

• Establishing a Dean’s Student Advisory Council for immediate input and feedback on strategic and tactical opportunities.

• Providing undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to consult on projects benefiting underserved communities in Tulsa.

• Striving to recruit a diverse student talent base at the undergraduate and graduate level.
