JAANUHA SRITHARAN
Mental Health Studies (co-op) and Neuroscience (major) Scarborough, Ontario First-generation student Jaanuha brought together her interests in the human brain and health care when she chose to study at U of T Scarborough. “I love how multidisciplinary my program is — the combination of mental health and neuroscience,” she says. “I get an understanding of how the nervous system functions, but I also get to delve into pathologies of the mind.” Jaanuha has supplemented her studies by taking an active role in campus life. “There are so many clubs on campus to choose from, and if we don’t find one that fits our interests, we have the chance to create it ourselves.” Over the course of her undergraduate degree, she has been involved with KiPOW! Canada, the UTSC Pharmacy Association and served as a student ambassador.
