CALUMET ST, BOSTON

I researched about Peter Zumthors tectonic language as an inspiration and created my own tectonics for this project. The triangular slopy site located on calumet street in Boston falls right between the residentianl zone and the commerical zone of the area. I designed a community kitchen and gathering space which acts a convergence point between the two zones and welcomes people from both to enjoy its space.

I created this wavy 3D printed model after being inspired from Zumthor’s Kolumba museum, using its ground floor plan as base which consists of several pieces that fits only where they’re supposed to, and implemented that in my design of the building creating a wavy wood and glass facade where all the glass pieces are different size and fit only where they’re supposed to.

The proposed design is a perfect combination of digging into and building up, making use of the puddingstone present in the site and making a cave like structure, giving a warm earthy feeling in combination with wood in the facade.

The ground floor features a kitchen, dining space, shop & community gathering space with a beautiful outdoor landscape with seating.

The building features a greenhouse on the first floor, where people come to learn small scale farming.

The site is real. The client is fictional. This 8-storey housing project intends to provide its occupants with the best amenities. The building features 3 commercial spaces on the ground level. The new paradigm dictates the presence of recreational spaces within the residential project, the design features an indoor pool, volleyball court, gym, indoor garden, and an open jogging track on the first floor.

To avoid overcrowding, the building is designed to act as two seperate wings, with each having 4 apartments on each floor. the jogging track on the first floor is access from both wings. the luxurious, spacious apartments are designed for customers looking for good living with all the facilites under one roof. This designed building is the first of its kind in Lublin, Poland

The building has 3BHK + 3T resdential apartments. Each apartment is designed as a corner apartment to provide ample natural light throughout the day.

The exterior of the building was designed to be in harmony with the exterior of the two commercial buildings that are on the same block. Each apartment has its own storage on the ground level. The apartments facing east get a panaromic view of the green landscape of the plot, while apartments facing west gets the view of the garden in front of the building.

ZELENSKICH PALACE, POLAND

The challenge of this project was to remodel the ZELENSKICH PALACE in POLAND to a hotel, while preserving the exterior. Part of the basement is buried, so now unaccessible. The idea of designing the basement was inspired from a game ‘Lara Croft - Tomb Raider’, to maintain the historic element while providing more relevance to the younger generation with the design. It features a pool, a sunaburo, bar and massage room.

The sunaburo is something unique to Poland, so it will attract more visitors to the designed facility.

The Zelenskich Palace was a private family manor. After surveying the site and taking all measurements. I designed four rooms of different sizes on the first floor. Located on the outskirts of a town, the palace will prove to be a great place for weekend getaways.

of the existing walls are preserved and the arched ceiling in the basement is preserved so that the building does not loose its originality.

HENRYKA HALICKIEGO 16, LUBLIN

This project was designed with an idea to create a private haven amidst the busy city life, inspired by the changing lifestyles after the pandemic, the basement is designed as a recreational zone with a cinema room, a bar, and various table sports, so that the occupants can entertain themselves with friends & family from the comfort of their home.

The ground floor features two living rooms, kitchen, gym & pantry. The contemporary living room design blisfully imprints the ultimate spirit of life and living sculpted in sophistication. The large windows in the kitchen opens to the swimming pool at the back with a designed garden consisting of various kinds of plant families.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor, an office and a library. the design of the office softly infuses classic and modern essence to the space, that is equally elegant and functional. The large terrace provides a great space for outdoor acivities for the friends and family. The skylight and large windows provide ample natural light to the living room.
