IFC Executive Board Application Form Application & Election Process: Applications are due by Wednesday, November 9 by 5:00pm into the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life (413 Student Services Building) All applicants must be available to give speeches on Thursday, November 17, at 5:30pm during the election process The election process will be as follows:  Candidates will be given 5 minutes for a speech  Questioning will be opened for 5 minutes after speech  Discussion will occur once all candidates have given their speech  If an applicant does not win their respective election, they will have the opportunity to run for any remaining position on the Executive Board **If you will be your fraternity’s Chapter President during Spring 2017 or Fall 2017, you are not allowed to hold the IFC Executive Board positions of: President, VP of Internal Affairs, or VP of Judicial Affairs.

IFC Executive Board Positions President: The President will preside over all regular and special IFC meeting, and call any meetings he deems necessary. To serve on or represent the IFC on any University or student committee where his presence is deemed necessary. To work closely with the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life, the Panhellenic President, MGC, NPHC, and any other faculty or administrative personnel as an official representative of the IFC. To act as the main point of contact for all IFC incurrences. Maintain communication and positive relationships with University faculty, staff, and other organizations in the University of Tennessee community.

VP of Internal Relations: The VP of Internal Relations will oversee existing and implement new chapter programming (i.e. diversity, intramurals, scholarship, leadership, chaplain services, etc.).

Focused on improving the overall quality of our organizations’ men.

VP of External Relations: The VP of External Relations will oversee the relationship between our council and the other three Greek Council’s (Panhellenic, MGC, and NPHC). As such, they will be in attendance at those other council meetings to serve as a liaison for the IFC. Additionally, they will aid in philanthropic events, Greek Week, and fundraising.

VP of Public Relations: The VP of Public Relations is in charge of managing all social media accounts and IFC publications. Will oversee the design and disbursement of promotional items. Additionally, they will aid in philanthropic events and fundraising. Overall, the position is focused on improving the IFC brand by shedding light on the positive influence our organizations have on campus and the community as a whole.

VP of Recruitment: The VP of Recruitment will oversee all aspects of the recruitment process as it pertains to the Interfraternity Council (IFC). The VP of Recruitment MUST be present in Knoxville during the entire ‘New Vols Experience’ summer orientation sessions. He will also be present and coordinate all aspects of the formal recruitment process for the spring and fall semesters during his term, in conjunction with the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life.

VP of Judicial Affairs: The VP of Judicial Affairs will oversee the IFC Judicial Board and its’ investigation of allegations regarding IFC recognized organizations and the subsequent judicial proceedings. Additionally he will aid them in administering sanctions when sufficient.

VP of Administration: The VP of Administration will oversee all administrative functions of IFC, which include, but are not limited to: finances, maintaining an itemized line-item budget that tracks and manages revenues and expenditures, to take accurate minutes at IFC meetings which will be distributed promptly to all council constituents, and assist with any special projects as deemed necessary by the IFC President.

Candidates may apply for one or multiple positions from the list above.
