The Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Leadership helps you build on your unique experience and take your learning and career forward on your own terms. Earn your degree while keeping your work and life on track. Choose from full-time or part-time classes in a flexible online environment and stay connected to your professors throughout your coursework. No two students in the BAS-AL program follow the same path, and we offer personalized support to ensure your success.
The program can build on the foundation of classroom, career, and workplace learning. Its focus is on cultivating the ability to influence the leadership process at any level, on leadership, communicating effectively and persuasively, decisionmaking, ethics, and organizational strategy skills that can help adult learners advance in their current roles or pivot to new opportunities. The program outcomes include:
Analyze the styles and processes to articulate and practice leadership.
Explain the need for ethical, responsible leadership.
Apply leadership approaches in diverse contexts.
Implement effective approaches to organizational change and innovation.
Apply communication skills to influence the leadership process with a variety of audiences in various contexts.
Explore and analyze decision-making processes that result in the implementation of ethical practice.
One feature many of our students appreciate is the opportunity for maximum credit transfer and the potential to earn credit for prior learning, including workplace training, military service, certifications, or other relevant experience. It’s one way we work to honor and accelerate the learning that many students bring with them.
Leadership involves creating change, pursuing innovation, and empowering others. It is developed through action, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
