This is their story, and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

Our East Hamilton Volleyball seniors have spent countless hours honing their skills, pushing themselves to the limit, and building a legacy that will inspire future generations. As they prepare to close this chapter of their high school careers, we’re excited to take a closer look at the incredible paths they’ve forged both on and off the court.

These young student athletes —Maddie, Hana, Georgia, Julia, Morgan, Savannah, Saylor, Emma, and Camryn—have not only demonstrated exceptional talent and leadership but have also become role models for many. Their dedication to the sport and their unwavering commitment to their teammates have led them to accomplish feats that will be remembered long after the final whistle blows.

In this special feature, we’ll dive into the personal stories of each of our seniors, exploring the moments that have defined their volleyball careers, the friendships that have made the journey unforgettable, and the challenges they’ve overcome to reach this point. We’ll share their favorite memories, the lessons they’ve learned, and the dreams they carry with them as they step into the next phase of their lives.

It is a true honor to lead the East Hamilton Volleyball team as their head coach. Our program is grounded in the core values of hard work, dedication, and teamwork—principles that our players consistently demonstrate both on and off the court. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching these young student-athletes rise to new challenges, push beyond their limits, and grow not just as athletes, but as well-rounded individuals.

As we gather to celebrate our seniors and the remarkable journeys they’ve undertaken, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported our team along the way. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, family members, sponsors, booster club members, and fans—your unwavering encouragement has been a cornerstone of our success. I also want to express special thanks to Principal Eller, Athletic Directors Booker and Mountain, Athletic Trainer Stephanie, and the entire East Hamilton staff, faculty, and administration—your leadership and support have been instrumental in shaping our program’s achievements.

A very special thank you to Coach Schmit and Coach Quinn—your tireless dedication and commitment to helping our players reach their full potential have been invaluable.

To our seniors, you’ve set a remarkable standard for those who will follow in your footsteps. You’ve created a legacy of excellence that will inspire and motivate future generations. I am incredibly proud of all that you’ve accomplished, and I’m eager to see where your next chapter takes you.

Despite facing some challenging moments throughout the match, the team demonstrated resilience and determination, pushing through adversity to deliver an outstanding performance. Their hardy work and teamwork really paid off as they played with focus and energy, never giving up and showing great skill on the court.

MADDIE Profile

Introducing Maddie, our incredible Defensive Specialist (DS) who has been playing volleyball for 7 years!

�� **Favorite Memory:** Maddie’s favorite memory is from her sophomore year at the state tournament. Those intense games and team moments are unforgettable!

�� **What She'll Miss Most:** Maddie will miss the amazing friendships she’s built over the years and how fun it has been to play alongside peoplet she’s grown up with.

�� **Advice for Younger Players:** “Don’t be too hard on yourself. Mistakes are going to happen every game—nobody is perfect.”

I�� **Favorite Game Memory:** Beating Baylor at home during her junior year with a huge student section cheering them on!

�� **Gratitude:** Maddie would like to thank her parents for their constant support and encouragement throughout her volleyball journey.

�� **Beyond Volleyball:** If Maddie wasn’t playing volleyball, she’d be playing tennis or hanging out with her friends.

HANA Profile

Introducing Hana, our incredible setter who has practically grown up with volleyball. She’s been playing since she was just 4 years old, and has been playing club volleyball since she was 9!

Favorite Memory:Hana’s favorite memory is going to state every year. The thrill of competing at that level, along with the bond formed with her teammates, makes it an experience she’ll never forget.

�� Lessons Learned:Volleyball has taught Hana the importance of commitment and building meaningful relationships. From early mornings to late nights in the gym, she’s learned that success comes through dedication and supporting those around you.

�� What She'll Miss Most:"Basically everything," Hana says, but if she had to choose, it would be the fun moments with her teammates—like the locker room dance and karaoke parties, and of course, the electric atmosphere of home games.

�� Favorite Game Memory: Hana’s standout game memory is the state-qualifying match against Oakland last year. It was a tough, hard-fought match, but when they won, the feeling was indescribable. Running to give Tristin the biggest hug ever made it a moment she’ll cherish forever.

�� Gratitude: Hana would like to thank her parents for their endless support, and all of the coaches she’s had along the way. Their guidance has shaped her into the player and person she is today.

�� Favorite Pregame Song: When Hana’s getting ready for a game, she loves listening to See You Again by Tyler, the Creator. It’s the perfect track to get her in the zone.

�� Beyond Volleyball:If Hana wasn’t on the court, she’d probably be involved in band or art—two other passions that bring out her creative side.

GEORGIA Profile

Meet Georgia, one of our talented seniors who has played both middle and outside since 3rd grade!

�� Favorite Memory: Georgia’s favorite memory is playing *Among Us* in real life with her teammates during their hotel stay at state. Those moments were filled with fun and laughter!

�� Lessons Learned: Volleyball has taught Georgia to never give up. “Things may not always go your way, but you still have to push through.”

�� What She'll Miss Most: Georgia will miss being on the court with her best friends. The bonds formed through teamwork and competition have created lifelong memories.

�� Advice for Younger Players: “You are so much more than just your sport. Don’t let your performance on the court define you—always remember your value extends beyond volleyball!”

�� Favorite Game Memory: Georgia’s favorite game moment was during her freshman year, beating Anderson County in the state semifinals. The team ran together and hugged in pure excitement!

�� Gratitude: Georgia wants to thank her parents, coaches, and teammates for their unwavering support in helping her reach where she is today.

Fun Fact:*Georgia can tumble!

�� Favorite Pre-Game Meal: Chick-fil-A or Zaxby’s is Georgia’s go-to pre-game meal.

JULIA Profile

Introducing Julia, our talented Outside/Rightside Hitter who has been playing volleyball for almost 8 years!

�� Favorite Memory:Julia’s favorite memory with the team is going to state every year and playing *Among Us* in the hotel. Another standout moment? The unforgettable "cheeseburger" incident at the mall!

�� Role Model: Julia looks up to Logan Eggleston, a Texas Volleyball alumna. “I admire her style of gameplay, court presence, leadership, volleyball IQ, and the amazing person she is on and off the court.”

�� Life Lesson: Volleyball has taught Julia that sometimes the needs of the group come before your own. “In a team sport, you have to embrace the ‘We > Me’ mindset to get the job done.”

�� What She'll Miss Most: Julia will miss the girls and the forever friendships she’s made while playing together.

�� Advice for Younger Players:“Push through mental battles and know you aren't alone! There are probably other girls around you feeling the same way, so lean on each other for support. And most importantly, have fun and remember why you started playing. I love you guys!”

�� Favorite Game: Julia’s favorite game was the 2023 home opener against Baylor, when students painted “CANES” on themselves to support the team. Her favorite game moment? Winning the sectional match against Oakland to advance to state—tears, hugs, and celebration all around as the team achieved their goal in a tougher division.

�� Gratitude: Julia wants to thank her mother most of all for being her biggest supporter, cheerleader, and giving honest advice when needed.

⚡ Fun Fact: One of Julia’s biggest fears is thunderstorms!

SAYLOR Profile

Meet Saylor, our dedicated outside/right-side hitter, who has been pouring her heart and soul into volleyball since 4th grade.

❤ Favorite Memory: One of the most special parts of my time at East Hamilton is the bond I’ve formed with the girls I’ve played with for so many years. We’ve been through so much together, and it’s been a true blessing to watch each of them grow into the incredible people they are today.

�� Biggest Inspiration: Lexi Sun has always been my beacon of inspiration. Her energy on the court was unmatched, and she played with a consistency I’ve always admired. She made me believe that hard work and positivity can take you far.

�� Valuable Lesson: Volleyball has taught me that communication is everything—whether on the court, in school, or life in general. It’s a skill that will stick with me forever.

�� What I’ll Miss Most: Leaving behind my teammates is going to be so hard. We’re all heading in different directions for college, but I know deep down that each one of them is going to achieve amazing things. I’m so proud of them and can’t wait to see what’s next for us all.

�� Advice for Younger Players: My biggest piece of advice is to stay confident and keep your head up, no matter what. We all have tough days, but it’s important to believe in yourself and never be too hard on yourself.

�� Shoutouts: I wouldn’t be here without the endless support of my parents—they’ve made it to every game, no matter what. And I’m incredibly grateful to Coach Suzuki, who’s been there every step of the way, helping me grow not just as a player, but as a person. I’m so thankful for these people in my life.

MORGAN Profile

Meet Morgan, our skilled DS/Libero who has been playing volleyball for 6 years!

�� Favorite Memory: Morgan’s favorite memory is playing *Among Us* in real life with her teammates during their hotel stay at state. So many laughs and good times!

�� Biggest Inspiration: Morgan credits her mom as her biggest inspiration, always supporting and cheering her on.

�� Advice for Younger Players: "Do not let your emotions get the best of you." Stay focused and enjoy the game!

�� What She'll Miss Most: The people—her teammates and friends who have made the experience unforgettable.

�� Favorite Game Memory: Beating Baylor at home and the student section going absolutely crazy!

�� Gratitude: Morgan would like to thank her parents for being there every step of the way.

�� Fun Fact: During COVID, Morgan bingewatched an entire season of The Vampire Diaries in just two days!

�� Favorite Pregame Song:*Blame It* by Jamie Foxx and T-Pain always gets her pumped.

�� Favorite Snack: You can catch Morgan snacking on Cheez-Its or Ruffles Sour Cream & Cheddar chips!

EMMA Profile

Meet Emma, our phenomenal Defensive Specialist who's been playing volleyball since the 6th grade!

�� Favorite Memory:

“It’s hard to pick just one because I’ve loved every moment since I transferred to East Hamilton! I’m so grateful to my teammates and coaches for welcoming me with open arms.”

�� Biggest Inspiration:

“My parents, without a doubt. They’ve always pushed me to be the best version of myself!”

�� Valuable Lesson:

“Volleyball is as much a mental game as it is physical. When you make a mistake, shake it off and learn from it!”

�� What She’ll Miss Most:

“The amazing girls on the team and all the unforgettable moments we’ve shared!”

�� Advice for Younger Players:

“Always support each other. You never know what someone might be going through—a simple smile or hug can make a big difference!”

�� Favorite Game Moment:

“One of the funniest moments was during a match at Siegel High School earlier this season. Savannah went to serve from the back row, and when the ball was hit back at her, she hit the ground and just laid there! (We need to add that video to this slide!)”

�� Thank You: Big thanks to my dad for always being there, taking me to games, and being the best volleyball dad!”

�� Fun Fact: “I have an extra bone in my foot!”

�� Pre-Game Hype Song: “Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield.”

SAVANNAH Profile

Meet Savannah, our standout senior and a dedicated middle blocker who's been playing volleyball for 7 years!

�� Favorite Memory: Savannah will never forget the times the team gathered in someone’s room at state to play *Among Us*. The laughter and bonding made those moments unforgettable!

�� Inspiration: Kathryn Plummer has always been her biggest role model. Watching her play inspired Savannah to strive to be just like her.

�� Words of Wisdom: "Move on from past mistakes. Dwelling on them will only make you feel worse." She also reminds younger players that one bad play or match doesn’t define them. “You are more than your mistakes!”

�� Favorite Match: Savannah’s favorite match was when East Hamilton played Oakland to qualify for state last year. “It was stressful, but we all played together, and it was incredibly rewarding in the end.”

Special Thanks: Savannah wants to thank her mom for always supporting her, even juggling work to make it to all her games and tournaments.

�� Fun Fact: Savannah is learning sign language and can even sign part of a song! Her favorite pregame music includes Zach Bryan’s *Heavy Eyes*, and after a game, she rewards herself with some Freddy’s custard.

��Beyond Volleyball: If Savannah wasn’t playing volleyball, she’d be traveling and photographing marine life!

CAMRYN Profile

Meet Camryn, our dynamic middle blocker/right-side hitter who’s been playing volleyball since she was just 9 years old!

�� Favorite Memory: That fun “trip” to Cracker Barrel with the team!

�� Biggest Role Model: Her dad, who has always pushed her to be her best on and off the court. His endless support has inspired her to keep going, even when things get tough.

�� Lesson Learned: Volleyball has taught Camryn that hard work and perseverance always pay off, even if you're not always in the spotlight.

�� What She'll Miss: The lightheartedness of the team—the way they can make each other laugh but know when it’s time to focus.

⏳ Advice to Younger Players:“Enjoy the time you have. My brother told me that high school would fly by, and I didn’t believe him until I walked into school for my first day of senior year. Join clubs, play the sport you’ve always wanted—these four years go by fast, so appreciate the time while you have it!”

�� Favorite Match Moment: Winning the California state championship her freshman year, the first in school history!

�� Gratitude: "I wouldn’t be where and who I am without Jesus Christ, my family, friends, and the many coaches who’ve helped me along the way."

As we close this special edition, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our seniors' volleyball journeys. From the unwavering support of families and friends to the guidance of coaches and the camaraderie of teammates, it’s taken a village to help these young women reach their full potential.

To our seniors—Maddie, Hana, Georgia, Julia, Morgan, Savannah, Saylor, Emma, and Camryn—we are incredibly proud of all that you’ve accomplished. You’ve shown us what it means to lead with heart, to persevere through challenges, and to uplift those around you.
