UTC is proud to be the first universitybasedChallengerLearningCenter.

With the recent appointment of Laurie Allen as our Executive Director and LyndhurstChairofExcellence,thecenter has undergone incredible transformations in just the past 18 months.

Underherleadership,sheandourteam have made significant physical upgrades to the space, including new officefurnitureandfreshcoatsofpaint onthewalls.Inaddition,wearecurrently undergoing exciting changes to our simulator.

Wearealsoevaluatingandredesigning ourprogramstomakeamoreexciting and engaging learning experience for ourstudents.

TheChallengerSTEMLearningCenteris a network of educational centers that wasfoundedinhonoroftheChallenger SpaceShuttlecrew.

The Challenger crew was dedicated to advancingscienceandinspiringyoung minds, and the Challenger STEM Learning Center continues their legacy by providing students with access to cutting-edge technology, resources, andeducationalprogramsinthefields ofscience,technology,engineering,arts, andmath(STEAM).

ThefirstChallengerLearningCenterwas establishedin1986,andtodaythereare more than 40 centers located throughout the United States, Canada, andtheUnitedKingdom.
