Transfer students should apply for admission at utm.edu/apply the semester before planning to attend — the sooner the better! After you apply, submit official transcripts from your high school and all previous colleges attended. In-progress transcripts will be considered for admissions decisions.
After final transcripts have been submitted, UT Martin will evaluate your completed college courses to determine how they may transfer into your chosen degree program. Your degree evaluation will be available through your UT Martin Portal in your Flight Plan. You will then meet with a faculty advisor to discuss degree progress and estimated graduation dates. You can estimate how your courses will transfer to UT Martin by visiting the transfer equivalency tables online at utm.edu/transfertables.
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. UT Martin’s school code is 003531.
Once you are admitted to UT Martin and have submitted official college transcripts, Flight Plan will help you (and your advisor) plan and complete your program of study successfully and efficiently. You will be able to view an organized, easy-to-read checklist that outlines requirements for courses of study set forth in the university catalog. A “ What If Tool” can also be used to help you explore different degree plans at UT Martin.

*Note: Students enrolled in online degree programs are not eligible for UT Martin merit-based scholarships.
• Tennessee residents, who meet UT Martin admission requirements, qualify for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship and have an annual household income of less than $60,000 are eligible to receive funds from the UT Promise financial aid program.
• This is a last-dollar scholarship that will be applied after all other financial aid is received, including, but not limited to, Pell Grants, HOPE Scholarship and other institutional scholarships.
• Participating students will be matched with a volunteer mentor and must complete eight hours of community service each semester to remain in the program.
• This program applies to both tuition and mandatory fees. Housing, meal plans and other postsecondary expenses are not included.

We make sure campus living is a positive experience. The UT Martin Office of Housing provides a fully-trained staff of residence hall directors and resident assistants who tend to the needs of residents through social activities, competitions and intramural sports.
