Jami Cottle, a proud Box Elder County native, recently stepped into the role of chief executive officer at Brigham City Community Hospital (BCCH). Jami has dedicated most of her career to patient care and leadership.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Utah State University Brigham City and later completed a master’s in nursing at Western Governors University. She has also shared her expertise as an assistant professor at Weber State University, inspiring the next generation of nurses.
A devoted mother, Jami has two sons, both proud Utah State graduates. Today, she continues her leadership in Brigham City as both CEO and chief nursing officer at BCCH, bringing experience, dedication, and a deep commitment to the local community.
EMILY DAVIES
Student Speaker
Emily Davies is a pre-law student, graduating with her bachelor’s in history and minors in criminal justice and political science. During her time at Utah State University, she has also worked for the Brigham City campus as the peer outreach specialist, and for the last year and a half, she has worked as a full-time admissions specialist and campus resource specialist. Emily has been actively involved in the Utah State University Student Association (USUSA) for three years—first as a student representative for the Brigham City campus and currently serving her second year as vice president over the Brigham City, Kaysville, and Tremonton campuses. Emily is truly passionate about history and governance and has a strong background in historical research, focusing on Utah’s history, governance in Western Europe, and Indigenous histories. She is particularly passionate about the Intermountain Indian School, once built on the property where the Brigham City Classroom and Student Services Building now stands. Outside of academics and work, Emily loves playing soccer, dirt biking, snowboarding, and backpacking.
JENNY GILLEN GARRARD
Student Speaker
Jenny Gillen Garrard is graduating with her Master of Social Work and is currently working as a therapist at Wasatch Family Therapy, where she treats adolescents, adults, and couples. She is married to Scotty G., voice of the Aggies, and is the proud mom of four very cool grown-up kids. Jenny loves going on adventurous drives, treasure hunting at thrift and antique stores, exploring cemeteries, and telling spooky stories. She also loves reading, but these days, it puts her to sleep. (That's ok, because she also loves a good nap). In her time at USU, Jenny served for two years as a USUSA representative for the Kaysville Campus.
