OKI Printer Error Code 990 appears when the machine cannot find out either the toner cartridge or the drum unit. As a consequence, the printer becomes incapable of recognizing the amount of ink left behind in the units.

Steps to fix error code 990 in OKI Printer:  Whenever Error 990 arises in OKI Printer, the basic thing that you need to do is check whether the complete blue toner levers are firmly pushed towards the back or not.  As you are done with it, check the sensor. Assure whether it needs to be cleaned or not. You can find the sensor at the back of the plastic cover on the side of the drum.  Use a clean, dirt-free & small cloth to clean the plastic cover as well as the silver arm.  The sensor will be fine powder & should also be easy to move.

 Check that the sensor level on TS1 is pushed up or not.  Clean the arm suitably. Also verify whether the sensor level is pushed up as it requires to be or not.  It is not set appropriately, the machine will not pick up the sensor on the drum. Push the disc up to remove this Oki Printer Error Code 990.
