GREETINGS: A MESSAGE
FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF THE USHCC
Alice Rodriguez Chair/Board of Directors
United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Dear Business Leaders,
It is an honor to welcome you to the 2022 USHCC National Conference! Thank you for being a part of America’s largest Hispanic business organization. Our theme this year is “Igniting America’s Economic Prosperity – Scale. Connect. Act”
Partnership underscores our mission as a pro-business, nonpartisan organization dedicated to strengthening America’s 5 million Hispanic-owned businesses, that together, contribute more than $800 billion to the American economy each year.
We are proud to advocate on behalf of America’s dynamic Hispanic workforce. Over the past 10 years, Latina entrepreneurs, specifically, created businesses six times faster than their non-minority counterparts. Before the pandemic’s effect on the national economy, Latino entrepreneurs started businesses at a rate three times faster than the national average of non-Latino entrepreneurs.
We are guided by our mission to empower our community by providing resources and adding value to our members.
Our vision at the USHCC is to be the leading voice to advance Hispanic business potential to drive our American economy. To this end, we have focused our advocacy on behalf of our Hispanic-owned businesses, Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and Corporate Partner Members guided by our “Three C’s”:
Ramiro A. Cavazos
President & CEO
United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Expanding equitable access to capital through traditional and innovative partnerships
Building capacity through programming, training, and new grant investments
CONNECTIONS
Establishing connections through matchmaking, procurement, and advocacy
We will strengthen our collective voice as America’s largest Hispanic business organization to advocate for equity and a seat at the decision-making tables in the U.S. Congress, Administration, and America’s largest corporations on behalf of our Latino community. We as a nation must continue to expand access to capital, education, and procurement opportunities to unleash the potential of our $2.8 trillion Latino GDP into the future. We are proud to represent 260 Hispanic Chambers throughout the nation. Together, we will create generational wealth in our Latino community through education and entrepreneurship, and we will power America’s economic recovery.

GREETINGS
Benito C. Almanza President Bank of America Arizona
Members and supporters of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
On behalf of Bank of America, welcome to the 2022 USHCC Conference. Bank of America has been honored to partner with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for more than 15 years. Together, we provide vital support to millions of Hispanic-owned businesses across the U.S., including economic relief programs and bilingual technical assistance delivered at the local level through USHCC’s extensive network of chambers across the country.
Bank of America proudly serves nearly 12 million Hispanic-Latino clients and they are our fastest growing segment. We provide support in many ways including our Better Money Habits® website which is offered in Spanish as Mejores Hábitos Financieros™ and helps people build their financial know-how, and through our Spanish-language Mobile Banking App which today has more than 2.4 million active users.
As we look to grow our business responsibly, it is critical that we reflect the diverse communities we serve and do our part to help address societal challenges. In support of this work, Bank of America is delivering on our commitment to advance equality and economic opportunity for people of color, including Hispanic-Latinos individuals and communities. This commitment accelerates work already underway with a focus on health, jobs, housing and small businesses. A tangible example of this work is Project Progresando, our partnership with 12 Hispanic Serving Institutions and the education firm EAB to increase Hispanic-Latino representation in health careers and increase the number of culturally sensitive, Spanish-speaking health providers.
Thank you for joining us at this year’s conference. We look forward to creando impacto together.

GREETINGS
Carlos A. Becerra Group Manager –Enterprise Transformation
Toyota Motor North America
Dear Friends,
On behalf of Toyota, welcome to the 2022 U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Conference in Phoenix. We’re pleased to see this year’s conference making a full return to an in-person event as the economy stabilizes after a challenging two and a half years!
Nevertheless, the economic fallout from the global pandemic remains with us and new hurdles are looming on the horizon. Given this rapidly evolving landscape, the Latino entrepreneurial sector needs to ensure that it remains top-of-mind with policymakers at all levels of government as a key driver of small, medium, and large businesses in the nation. When policymakers prioritize minority entrepreneurs, businesses flourish as engines of productivity, employment and advancement all benefitting our shared communities.
It is also imperative that we share solutions, adhere to best practices, and form networks of common interest among ourselves. There’s no better forum to do this than the USHCC National Conference – especially when done in person. Encompassing 5 million members spread among 200-plus local chambers, the USHCC is the country’s premier organization not only for advocating on behalf of the Hispanic business community, but also for bringing it together. Its power to convene is unparalleled, and we all know that strength indeed lies in numbers.
Toyota has been a proud partner of the USHCC for more than thirty years. We wish to thank the USHCC for all its hard work, and every one of you for choosing to share your entrepreneurial spirit, resilience and wisdom in person. We wish you a productive conference and a pleasant, healthy stay in Phoenix. ¡VAYAMOS JUNTOS!

GREETINGS
Carolina Jannicelli Head of Community Impact
JPMorgan Chase
Dear USHCC Members and Partners,
As the daughter of small business owners, I know first-hand how transformational small business ownership can be. My parents built a successful business in my home country of Nicaragua and lost it due to the political instability in the region during the 80s. But all my parents knew was grit, and they built a business back up in our new home in Costa Rica. Their work ethic and entrepreneurial drive supported a family of six and paved the way for my success. And their story and my story is similar to the story of millions of Hispanics around the country.
Today, I draw inspiration from them and reflect on their legacy in my role as the head of our firm’s Community Impact organization. My team was created to help the firm deliver on our $30 billion commitment to racial equity, and to help our businesses and corporate functions sustain and amplify business practices to help address the main drivers of wealth: home ownership, small business ownership and financial health.
At the root of the wealth divide is income inequality. Procurement contracts are a direct way to create wealth opportunities for Hispanic and Black-owned businesses. That is why our racial equity commitment has been focused on broadening opportunities for diverse suppliers and increasing our spend. At the end of last year, we spent an additional $155 million with more than 140 Hispanic, Latino and Black suppliers. But we know more works needs to be done.
Our commitment also is focused on increased lending and delivering mentorship and support to help small businesses grow. That is why we hired more than 25 diverse small business consultants who are providing free 1:1 coaching to small businesses around the country, even if they don’t bank with us. To drive more capital, we are also working to transform our business and innovate on products and services that meet the needs of all diverse business owners, regardless of income or geography.
Our partnership with ELEVATE Together and USHCC has been a great way to connect with more small businesses around the country and deliver Spanish and English language content and resources, free of charge, to help support owners’ success. Through this collaboration, we have reached thousands of small business owners and expanded the program into six new cities this year.
They say there is strength in numbers. Together, we can find more ways to take meaningful policy and business actions to help more Latino businesses thrive and build for now and future generations. That is why this conference and the work USHCC leads nationwide and locally is so critically important to the economic success of our country.
Carolina Jannicelli Head of Community Impact JPMorgan Chase

GREETINGS
Charlie Scharf CEO Wells Fargo & Company
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 2022 U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention. Wells Fargo is proud to be a longstanding supporter of the USHCC and its work to promote the economic growth and development of the more than 4.7 million Hispanic-owned businesses that, combined, contribute over $800 billion to the American economy every year.
As one of the nation’s leading small business lenders, Wells Fargo is committed to helping business owners succeed financially and create long-term economic growth. We believe that our company’s success is tied to the success of the communities we serve.
That’s one reason Wells Fargo has increased its annual spending with diverse suppliers from $732 million in 2012 to over $1.3 billion in 2021, representing 13% of its total procurement spending. We spent $86.5 million with certified Hispanic-owned businesses in 2021. In the past four years, Wells Fargo has spent $500 million with certified Hispanic-owned businesses.
Last year, Wells Fargo awarded a $1 million grant to the USHCC Educational Fund to support GANAS: Growing America’s Negocios (Businesses) through Access and Scale, a collaborative effort between the USHCC, Latino Business Action Network, and Hispanic Heritage Foundation. The grant was designed to help small businesses by focusing on specific regions and industries that were heavily impacted by the pandemic and have high populations of minority business owners.
We are honored to support the important work being done by the USHCC and we look forward to continuing to work together to support business owners and the communities where they operate.
Sincerely,
Charlie Scharf CEO Wells Fargo & Company

CORPORATE PARTNER MEMBERSHIP
CPM program provides USHCC Corporate members with access to a vast array of Hispanic Enterprises (HBEs), from emerging small ventures to established businesses with revenues of over one billion dollars. Our ability to connect USHCC Corporate members to such a broad network of HBEs is facilitated by the network we maintain with our over 200 Hispanic Chambers across the country, numerous business matchmaking events throughout the year, and our nationally renowned conferences, including the Annual Legislative Summit and the USHCC National Conference – the largest gathering of Hispanic business owners in America.
UPS UNSTOPPABLE
UPS is committed to keeping Hispanic-Owned small businesses moving forward. COVID-19 has impacted small businesses across the board, and the minority and small business community has been especially hard hit. UPS has partnered with the USHCC to invest in keeping small businesses moving forward. We’re making a donation to provide direct assistance to small businesses in need.
BUSINESS MATCHMAKING
The USHCC’s Business Matchmaking provides a unique forum for Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) to connect with procurement officers from federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies, representing hundreds of millions of dollars in business opportunities. Last year, 4,000 unique appointments resulted from this event. These meetings provide an opportunity for buyers and sellers to discuss specific projects and capabilities. Small businesses or “sellers” must pre-register for the event using individual North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes or business categories. Each meeting lasts approximately 15 minutes. All meetings are scheduled on a firstcome, first-served basis.
GRUBHUB
Local restaurants need delivery and pickup orders now more than ever. The USHCC Educational Fund is proud to join forces with the Grubhub Community Relief Fund. Small donations make big impact. Customers were instructed to donate their change to the Grubhub Community Relief Fund at Checkout. Donations go to charitable organizations supporting local restaurants and drivers impacted by COVID-19.
HISPANIC BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
Two-thirds of American jobs are created by small businesses and Hispanic enterprises are leading this critical growth; starting new ventures at a rate three times the national average. The HBE program provides a national platform to Hispanic-owned companies that have scaled and grown beyond the scope of local Chambers of Commerce. In addition to advocating on behalf of HBEs on Capitol Hill and across the country, the USHCC equips members with resources and knowledge to grow their business by raising awareness on procurement opportunities and introducing them to a broad network of decision-makers in both the public and private sectors.
LYFT
The USHCC received two grants to provide vaccine access codes through Lyft through our Chamber network, targeting specific high-risk COVID cities. Consumers could request up to 4 round trip codes, to allow for rides to and from each of their vaccine dose appointments as well as booster appointments.
SBA COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR PROGRAM
In October of 2021, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was awarded a $5 million Community Navigator Pilot Program Grant by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The USHCC, the nation’s largest Hispanic business organization, was selected from a pool of more than 5,000 organization applicants, as one of 8 National Tier One awardees for the highly-competitive program, which seeks to outreach and serve small businesses in historically underserved communities, collaborate with local economic development groups, activate community resource partners, and work with states and local municipalities to amplify and create new accessible resources.
ANHEUSER-BUSCH FOUNDATION
The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Educational Fund (USHCCEF) and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation are excited to announce a new expanded partnership to launch a ‘Supplier Readiness Bootcamp’ that supports minority entrepreneurs in navigating the procurement and contracting process.
The ‘Supplier Readiness Bootcamp’ program aims to increase supplier readiness by training Hispanic and minority suppliers on important tips and best practices to help strengthen their proposals and their opportunities. Data shows that minorities of color receive less than 2% of all contracting dollars from corporate and federal procurement opportunities.
