The family atmosphere in Pigeon Forge lends itself to casual attire, no matter what activity you choose. Light clothing works for summer, while layering is best for winter months. Be sure to take a jacket if you’re heading to the mountains, where temperatures become cooler at higher elevations, even in summertime.

Time Zone Pigeon Forge is located in the Eastern Time Zone. Tennessee changes to Daylight Savings Time in March and reverts to Eastern Standard Time in November.

Alcoholic Beverage Status Beer may be purchased in Pigeon Forge at several locations, including convenience markets and grocery stores. Some Pigeon Forge restaurants sell beer, wine and liquor by the drink to patrons, but hours of sales may vary. Wine also may be purchased at the Mountain Valley Winery. Retail liquor sales are not available in Pigeon Forge.
