With immense joy and pride, we congratulate the remarkable Class of 2025!
Each of these extraordinary young women has graced Ursuline Academy with her unique gifts, talents, and spirit. Over the years, we have witnessed their transformation—not only as scholars and leaders, but as compassionate individuals shaped by the enduring wisdom of St. Angela Merici.
Within these walls, they were known, heard, and empowered. They learned not just to find their voice, but to use it with purpose. Guided by faith, nurtured in community, and strengthened by sisterhood, they have become a shining reflection of what it means to be Ursuline.
As they turn the page to begin their next chapter, they do so as Ursuline alumnae—courageous and capable, equipped with intellect, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to make the world more just, kind, and hopeful.
Let us surround them with our prayers and blessings as they go forth to light the way.
Godspeed, Class of 2025. Please remember that Ursuline will always be your home.

ALUMNAE WEEKEND 2025 A JOYOUS CELEBRATION OF
SISTERHOOD
& LEGACY
This year’s Alumnae Weekend, held April 11-12, was a resounding success, bringing together graduates from across the decades for two days filled with reconnection, celebration, and reflection. The event beautifully showcased the Ursuline Sisterhood’s enduring bonds and the strength of our alumnae community.
Festivities began on Friday evening with a festive Cocktail Reception in the Fusco Hall Student Life Center. Alumnae gathered to reminisce, reconnect, and enjoy refreshments in a joyful setting. The evening’s highlight was the Presidential Panel an engaging discussion on leadership, legacy, and the future of Ursuline Academy. The panel featured current President Dr. Trisha Medeiros and former Presidents Angela Boyle ‘53 and Cathie Field Lloyd ‘70, offering a thoughtful exchange of experiences and visions for the Academy’s future.
Saturday’s events began with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Msgr. John Hopkins, OSFS. The community then gathered for a celebratory brunch in the new Gymnasium, where we proudly honored Cathie Field Lloyd ‘70 as the 2025 recipient of the Angela Boyle ‘53 Award for Service. Surrounded by classmates, family, and friends, Cathie was recognized for her exceptional commitment and service to the Ursuline mission. Attendees shared moving tributes, underscoring the impact of her leadership and dedication.
We were also proud to celebrate Anna Schaedler ’29, recipient of the 2025 Alumnae Scholarship Award. Anna, the daughter of Katherine Evans Schaedler ’00, represents the next generation of Ursuline excellence, and her recognition marks a continued tradition of legacy and leadership within our Ursuline community.
Following the brunch, alumnae participated in guided campus tours led by Ursuline students. The tours offered the opportunity to revisit familiar spaces and discover exciting developments on campus. Offering a glimpse into how Ursuline continues to evolve while staying rooted in tradition.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this special celebration possible. We look forward to continuing our connection, celebration, and tradition of lifelong sisterhood. Stay tuned for upcoming events and learn about ways to stay engaged with the Ursuline alumnae community.

GLOBAL EDUCATION UPDATE
A delegation from Ursuline spent spring break in Peru as part of our dual exchange with Colegio Santa Ursula, our sister school located in Lima. The journey began in the Sacred Valley, affording students the unique opportunity to explore Quechua culture and ancient Incan history. However, the heart of the exchange unfolded in Lima, where students lived with Ursuline host families and attended classes at the local Ursuline school. Students engaged in intercultural learning by shadowing school days, taking part in dance lessons, presenting about Delaware and life in the US, and going on adventures with their host sisters. These activities helped form lasting bonds and underscored the global unity of the Ursuline family. The group was also able to spend time with the Ursuline Sisters, having lunch at the convent and volunteering on some mission work at a nearby community in need where the Sisters serve.
Experiences like these embody the strength of our global Ursuline connections and shape our students into compassionate leaders committed to making a difference in the world. This enriching experience not only brought the mission of our school to life but also demonstrated the value of our connections with our Ursuline sister schools. Through our global network, we strive to create opportunities that challenge and inspire students far beyond the classroom in a way that cultivates both personal growth and a deepened commitment to Serviam.
Please support Ursuline Academy’s Annual Fund by June 30th. Any gift, no matter the size, will support our faculty and positively impact our students.

RECORD YEAR FOR COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC COMMITMENTS
This is a record year for the most Ursuline athletes in a single graduating class to commit to a collegiate sport. Congratulations to the following eleven seniors who will compete at the collegiate level!
