TEST OPTIONAL POLICY We realize that standardized tests may not be an accurate reflection of a student’s abilities. Applicants choosing to not submit a standardized test will not be disadvantaged nor will it negatively impact their application or merit scholarship review.

FINANCIAL AID

The Financial Aid Office is available to help you and your family afford the investment of a Rochester education through a combination of different aid programs tailored to meet your calculated need.

CERTIFICATE & CITATION PROGRAMS in Biotechnology, Data Science, Medical Physics, Stage Management, Community–Engaged Scholarship, Achievement in College Leadership, and more.

COMBINED DEGREE PROGRAMS in medicine, engineering, education, or epidemiology/public health that guarantee admission to professional or graduate school upon completion of a bachelor’s degree.

e5 PROGRAM offers a fifth year at Rochester, tuition free, to pursue internships, develop a business plan, or develop entrepreneurial skills.

TAKE FIVE PROGRAM allows students to stay for a fifth year of study, tuition free, to pursue broader academic interests in a research or experiential learning context.

STUDY ABROAD offers more than 70 different Rochester-sponsored opportunities in over 35 countries.

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH offers students opportunities to do research on their own, in teams, or as part of faculty-directed projects.

FREDERICK DOUGLASS INSTITUTE offers an interdisciplinary major as well as internships, a video and film series, and a distinguished speaker series.

SUSAN B. ANTHONY INSTITUTE is a multidisciplinary program focused on Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. The institution sponsors research, seminars, conferences, mentorship seminars, and an annual public lecture series.

The unique Rochester Curriculum invites students to study what they love with focus and flexibility.

VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES The University of Rochester has been a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program since 2009. Veterans, spouses, and dependents with 100% entitlement for Post9/11 G.I. Bill will have tuition and mandatory fees paid through a combination of VA and Yellow Ribbon funding. All admitted students who are eligible will automatically qualify.

Enrollment into the spring semester as a first-year student is dependent on space availability. Students enrolling as a first-year student for the spring term are not eligible for our combined degree programs.

* ** *** Applications received prior to this date will be given the strongest consideration for admission and merit scholarships. Students applying to REMS maintain an earlier Regular Decision deadlines.

Transfers have rolling notification based upon when application completes and is reviewed.
