Form 6 played a fun, charity netball match against their parents on Wednesday to raise money for Sport Relief. All the girls showed parents how it was done with great footwork and throwing down the court. Parents took a few centre passes to warm into the game and remembered all the rules, they played fantastically well. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Please do throw any change you have in the Sport Relief bucket which is in the Hall. Ellie Walsh Monday this week marked yet another amazing World Book Day at Upton. To celebrate, the entire school had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character and the children arrived in a wonderful array of colourful costumes and outfits. There were some brilliant efforts made by children and staff alike. This year we were privileged enough to have three truly inspirational authors work with the Prep pupils – Kieran Larwood (Blue Peter Book Award Winner), Sue Bough author of the adventures of Norman Snodgrass and finally BREIS – who took the Form 6 girls on a rhythm and rhyme rollercoaster. All authors kindly held book signings at the end of their sessions, which was a huge hit with the pupils. PrePrep had an amazing time with ‘West End in Schools’ participating in an immersive storytelling drama workshop and EYFS had a sensory overload with a visit from the Hungry Caterpillar. I wonder what fun activities next year has in store… Upton House School
