Thanks to you, our parents, your support at our PTA events has enabled us to fund the installation of these flood lights for the astroturf area, extending its use on these dark, winter afternoons and evenings.
All parents are warmly invited to join Mrs Thornton for her next coffee morning on Wednesday 5th February, in the Wallace Hall at 8.30am.
There was much excitement in school this week as we welcomed Elvis, our bearded dragon. He has been receiving regular visits at break times, with the children chatting to him through the glass. We had a special assembly to discuss what he eats, where he is from and what we need to do to look after him. We know the children are very keen to hold him but as he is still a baby and settling in we need to get him used to being handled before he gets out and about.
Wellbeing Tip of the Week We’ve had some great results in our most recent netball fixtures with Dolphin School this week. We also attended our first swimming gala this term at Bishopsgate. There were many new PBs and a win for Ruby in F4. The girls were really happy to be sporting the new Upton swimming gala costumes and towels.

Maya Angelou Our PTA Pub Quiz is on Friday 6th March, 7.30pm. Please start getting your teams together—between 6 and 10 people. This event is very popular and it will sell out quickly, so please don’t delay if you want to come. Tickets are £15 per adult to include a posh chicken kebab or posh halloumi kebab. You can either pay via PayPal for all team members at the time of booking or complete the form only whilst collecting the cash to hand in to Mrs Bates in the School Office. Finally we are doing something slightly different. As the quiz is going to be an 80’s themed event, please get your ra-ra skirts, neon outfits and Frankie Says Relax T-shirts out! This is not mandatory but is really encouraged—there will be a prize for the best dressed!
