Spring Term 2020 Week 3

Weekly Newsletter Spring 2020 Week 3 We had a great day on Tuesday, proudly wearing orange in support of Allergy Awareness. We had a special guest—Pip the adrenaline super pen—from Kids Active Theatre Company, to teach us more about allergies. Thank you for all your donations—we raised £191.50 for the Anaphylaxis Campaign. On Thursday afternoon, half of Forms 1 and 2 played a tag rugby match against Danesfield School. We hosted the match at the York club and had a very successful afternoon. We look forward to taking the other half of Forms 1 and 2 to their first fixture at Danesfield in a few weeks time; keep an eye on the calendar for more details. Ms Walsh

Congratulations to our Form 6 team being voted the best school in Windsor and Slough at the Explore Learning Young Mathematician’s competition for a second year running! They tackled a never-seenbefore maths challenge set by https://nrich.maths.org/ who work with Cambridge University to challenge children in maths. “We were so impressed with their strategy for finding the solutions to the problems and that they attempted to create a formula to find the total amount of possibilities” said Becky at Explore Learning. Well done girls! Fingers crossed we make it through to the next round.
