Trisha Corless Congratulations to Isobel and Leena in Form 6 who participated in the Southern Region Fencing Championships last weekend. Jed Beardmore, our fencing coach, was delighted with the girls’ attitude throughout the day. He told us that fencing competitions can be very daunting, particularly when you are just about the youngest in the room. Congratulations to Isobel who finished in 21st place and to Leena who scored points in every match, won a match in her pool and finished a very credible 17th. Allegra in Form 6 was also at the competition, representing her local fencing club, finishing in 19th place. Mr Beardmore said it was a pleasure to work with the girls and to meet their families at their first trip to a major fencing event. Trisha Corless
