Weekly Newsletter Autumn 2018 Week 14 What a wonderful start was made to the Upton Christmas celebrations today! The day began with the Nursery children who performed beautifully, saying their lines with quiet confidence and, despite a missing shepherd or two due to the outbreak of chicken pox on the hills outside of Bethlehem, the performance was wonderful. This was closely followed by Transition who had largely been transformed into animals. However, according to the donkey who lived in the stable, not everyone should have been there! The story ended happily however and the children gave a truly beautiful account of the Christmas story. During the afternoon parents were treated to another rendition of the Nativity by the children in Forms 1 and 2. It is so good to see how much they develop their singing and confidence in the Pre-Prep. The characterisation by the children of their character was most entertaining, not to mention the beautiful host of angels who graced the stage. A huge thank you to all of you for coming along to support the children and for taking part in the spirit of ‘Nativity Day’!
