The 2024 UPS booklet is a publication of PLAN30005 Urban Precinct Studio, the capstone subject in urban planning offered by the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at The University of Melbourne. This booklet showcases posters created by students as part of their individual assignments. A group of student volunteers took charge of the production of this booklet and designed the cover, structure, and page templates.
Building on team efforts in site analysis and visioning, each student makes their own precinct structure plan that provides precinct-scale solution to urban challenges observed in both global and local settings. The “client”, usually a team of local government planners, brings to class multiple precinct sites which need timely attention of planners for developing healthy, liveable, and resilient cities.
