About the Company
We are a premier hair and skincare manufacturer, founded by two sisters and a cosmetic chemist. UPL was founded out of a deep frustration with the state of economics in African American communities. Due to centuries of racial inequality and ongoing discrimination, we have been systematically locked out of opportunities for wealth creation and economic growth. One key aspect of this problem is that dollars only tend to circulate in our communities for a very short time, as opposed to other communities where dollars can circulate for days or even weeks at a time.
