What is the UKPSF? The UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) sets out the various roles that lecturers and support staff play in teaching and supporting learning at university. It is a national framework for recognising and benchmarking teaching and learning support roles within higher education. The recognition scheme contributes towards the professionalisation of teaching by conferring the status of Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy on academic and support staff who provide the requisite evidence of effectiveness. You can work towards professional recognition based on your role in teaching and supporting learning at Portsmouth by joining one of the APEX Fellowship Pathways.
