T
Iguro displayed on the portal that their intention was not to cause harm but rather to serve as a wake-up call for strengthening the university's digital security.
In an interview with Amado Diao, head of the Management Information System (MIS), he said that immediate action was taken upon receiving information about the hacking incident. "Although isang part lang naman 'yung na-hack d'yan, 'yung ating portal, so shinutdown na natin 'yan, tinitignan na natin kung saan possible dumaan 'yung hacking," he added. To address the concerns of the students, Diao reassured them that
there's nothing to worry about as he regularly checks the data.
Mayroon tayong backup, so check natin 'yan kung nacompromise nga 'yung data noong time na 'yon. I-ooverwrite natin 'yon ng malinis na data. So secured 'yung data natin, wala kayong dapat ipag-alala. said MIS Head Amado Diao
