THE DEFINITION OF A

n o i t u l o s e R

Hypnotherapist Carrie Swain shares with us how your subconscious is the key to making great change in your life.

6

January 1st comes around every year. It brings the same opportunity to turn your life around. However, it can be riddled with psychological traps that work against you. I am going to let you off the hook here and tell you a secret...Keeping to a goal has little to do with willpower! Yep, you read that right! Willpower can be depleted as it is not an effective strategy overall. In my personal and professional opinion, willpower is weak when it comes to your goals and NOMADIC | 24 making them permanent. Humans love familiarity, Good or bad!

If we could tap into willpower effectively, we would all be wealthier, fitter, slimmer, and powerful beyond our wildest dreams.

The power of your subconscious mind and it’s a love of familiar patterns. If we actually knew the powers of using the subconscious we would all thrive in a fulfilled, happy and rich existence.

Why do you think gyms and slimming clubs are full in January and half-empty by March and only 8% of resolutions make it to the end of the year?

I always pride my clients for recognising that they need support to put a stop to their powerlessness.

Because it has nothing to do with will power and everything to do with the program you are running in your mind and the hardwired neural pathways that are embedded in your brain.

Together we remedy your blocks and put them to bed; unlocking the pathway forward into achieving that end goal or aspiration, in life that you deserve through the power of hypnotherapy.

I have been in the holistic health industry for twenty years and experienced all kinds of therapies and therapists. I have found there is no healing modality more powerful and rapid with results than NLP and Hypnotherapy. In my personal and professional opinion, willpower is often weak when it comes to breaking a habit and obtaining your goals. But, it’s not all bad news, the good news is you have something more powerful to tap into...the amazing subconscious mind, where all our programming, beliefs, habits and every single memory is stored.

I have quickly noticed, trauma does not always lead to unwanted behavioural patterns or addiction, however, I know from my own experiences and that of clients, that any addictive behaviour, be that food, alcohol, drugs, social media, exercise, nail-biting, work addiction etc, comes from unresolved trauma in our psyche, usually from our experiences of vulnerability in childhood.

How do you think you are able to drive to work without thinking about it and often ask yourself how you got there?

7

" Before the age of seven years old, children spend most of their time in hypnosis. Their subconscious mind is extremely heightened " It comes as no surprise to me that some of the people I see tell me, “ But my childhood was wonderful! It may well have been, but due to children not being developed cognitively enough for them to figure out or self soothe in an emotionally heightened situation, the event(s) get trapped in the body and mind and can be detrimental to our development as we move through life. In my case, being dropped off at nursery school by my father at three years old

8

I felt It extremely traumatic for me to be left, and later in life, this was picked up in a hypnotherapy session and remedied. However, it made a massive imprint on my physical and emotional pathology. Before the age of seven years old, children spend most of their time in hypnosis, where their subconscious mind is extremely heightened, absorbing what they are hearing and witnessing from their surroundings, observing and learning from their experiences and people around them.

Emotions are the language of our subconscious, our soul. Feel the feeling of already having, doing, being that person and achieving that goal and it instantly brings it closer to you. Call it the law of attraction, cosmic ordering or future pacing, you are subconsciously imprinting that vision and emotional gratification, thus making it almost real at that moment, sending that signal, that vibration out into our cells and the ether, actually making you feel good.

I promote self-care practices and tell the clients to treat themselves like they would a friend or a loved one. Making these things familiar to our everyday life is key and I believe you will achieve total wellbeing...Inside and out! As a result, you will enjoy your life a lot more! Live your life .

Carrie x

I encourage gratitude, affirmations, positive relationships with others as well as clean, healthy living and small achievable goals, which I call stepping stones.

Intuitive EATING Health Coach Julie Silver shares with us the power of intuitive eating. Do you eat sitting at a table focusing on what you’re eating and doing nothing else? Or, do you watch TV, look at your phone, work or drive etc? Maybe you’re rushing your meal and thinking about the next thing you need to do?

10

When you actually eat mindfully with more awareness, you’ll become more aware of the smell of the food, the colours, taste and texture, noticing whether you’re enjoying it or not.

In this day and age, it’s so easy to eat unconsciously and multi-task!

You’re then likely to chew it more, making it more digestible and enjoyable. Also, you’re less likely to overeat and you’ll feel more fulfilled.

If you eat in a hurry and not aware of what you’re eating, you’re more likely to feel unsatisfied and unfulfilled with what you’ve eaten. You’ll then probably eat more food to compensate and won’t be digesting your food very well.

If you’re told to give up or restrict foods, you’ll probably feel deprived and then usually will want it more as a result. Mindful eating can make you more intuitive and you will be less likely to feel guilty about what you are eating.

Conscious Actions You may find that you don't actually want certain foods that you were ‘trying to give up’ and also less likely to overeat. When shopping for food I would recommend visualising how your body will react to it. Do you feel weakened at the thought or energised? Practising a calming technique such as taking a conscious breath before eating can help to reduce stress. This can help the food to digest more easily and you’ll absorb more nutrients from it.

When eating any food, mentally ask your body – ‘Is this what you want?’ You might feel a sensation, get a message mentally coming to you or have a physical reaction such as a cough or a pain in your body. Try not to force anything, just let it be as it is. Carry on eating the food if you want to. You may notice over time that you go off the food or forget to have it. It’s a good idea to be aware of how you are feeling after eating, maybe writing a journal stating how you are feeling on a day to day basis to see if there is a correlation to your eating habits and the way you feel.

11

One of my mottoes is ‘You’ll only do what you’re ready to do when you’re ready to do it’. If you can be aware and accept

whatever

you’re

doing, then you’re more likely to feel more accepting of yourself and others.

If you start to feel that you don’t want certain foods anymore then look for healthier alternatives. There are many resources to finding healthier alternatives to foods that may be causing you health issues. If you need any guidance and support I’d be delighted to help you or point you in the right direction.

GOAL OVERWHELM . .. g n i th a s t' i Yes Helen Pinnock sahres with us her thoughts on Goals and the truth that it can cause Overwhelem. Ah, the beginning of a New Year. Don't you love it? All the possibilities that lie ahead it can be exciting all those goals you want to achieve if you are anything like me, you dream big. I love nothing more than sitting with a fresh journal (after all who doesn't love new stationery) dreaming about what I want to achieve throughout the coming year be it in my business or personal life.

Although, you do need to watch out for a sneaky little feeling that can creep up on you when you least expect it. What am I talking about? Goal overwhelm this is when our brains become overrun with all future possibilities.

13

It can be intoxicating so many lovely goals just waiting to be written in that brand-new journal. After all, who doesn't want to improve their health, work with more clients, travel more, grow their wellbeing business, make more money or take more time off? Here is the thing. In all of the excitement of a new year, it is easy to fall into a sense of overwhelm by setting too many big goals the result being that you end up taking on too much. If left unchecked, we can quickly fall into a sense of despondency becoming overwhelmed with the sheer amount of work required to achieve all these big goals. If we keep relentlessly pursuing our goals, without checking in on how we are feeling about them, it is very, easy, to not only feel overwhelmed but to experience a knock to our confidence and self-esteem. It would be strange to write about future goals without mentioning the year that was 2020 so many of us experienced dramatic changes in the goals that we set at the beginning of the year myself included. Midway through the year, I was in danger of falling into a sense of overwhelm and could feel my confidence beginning to suffer.

14

I took my own advice and repeated a mantra that I have on my office wall as a reminder. A goal is just that. Sometimes we might be called to change direction from what we felt was the right decision at the time. So, how do you create mindful goals that will motivate you to achieve your dreams for this year?

Try this two-step practice: Firstly, open that new journal and make a list of all your goals and ambitions, write down everything however big, wild or extravagant they may seem. The physical act of handwriting is linked to improved creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. A study undertaken by Dr Gail Mathews from the Dominican University concluded that we are 42% more likely to achieve our goals if we write them down.

Secondly, next to each of your goals, answer these questions. How will I feel when I achieve this goal? And how will it feel to work on this goal?

Doing this two-step practice will help you work out which of your goals matter. Which you will enjoy working on and will create the life you want.

Taking the time to answer these questions will help you to feel into whether the goal is worthy of our time and energy.

r o F e r a C Self

YOUR SOUL Our expert Mala Kennedy shares the importance of prioritising your self care. New Year - New You. That’s how the story goes, but what if that’s not true. It’s a lie to make you feel like you’re not good enough, but here’s the truth, you are. You are more than enough and now more than ever is the perfect time to realise that.

16

You don’t need to change and you don’t need a new year to tell you that you need to. The truth is you need to be you. That's all and it's more than enough. Growth is great, I’m all for it but not because you feel like you need to make some silly resolutions like everyone else.

Change gets to be a gradual thing, and it gets to be on your terms because you decided to change. Slow, and with ease. In fact, this is the most caring thing you can do for yourself, and it will set you up for success too. Being you means being in alignment with your soul. It’s about looking at who you are and peeling back the layers.

Where are you living out of alignment? Where are you cheating yourself out of the gloriousness of your life? Now I’m all for growth. I’m all for adjustments that allow you to maximise your potential. I also don’t think deciding to join a gym and going 5x a week when you haven’t exercised for a year is the answer. Enter tiny commitments. I live by these. Tiny, daily actions you can take and grow over the long term. They are sustainable and they work.

Think incremental increases to create a new habit that lasts. It’s how I learnt to meditate and it’s how I learnt to run. It is how I approach everything because I know if I go hard I will go home. Those sneaky voices will tell me I’m not good enough chipping away at my mindset and I will feel like a failure. So start small and when I say small I mean tiny. So insignificant that it almost feels like you’re not doing anything. So inconsequential that you’ll barely notice the change. Bear with me though, it works. Say you want to start meditating. Find a time that feels good for you and set aside one minute. Set a timer (I’m obsessed with Insight Timer). Close your eyes and ground yourself, noticing your senses interact with your environment. What can you smell, what sensations can you feel on your skin?

17

"Flow into sitting in silence and being present with your breath. Pay attention to each inhale & exhale." Flow into sitting in silence and being present with your breath. Pay attention to each inhale and exhale as you sit there. If your mind wanders, label each thought as ‘thought’ then return your focus to your breath. The next day increase by 20 seconds and the following add another 20 seconds. Keep going and eventually, you’ll be doing 30 plus minutes. You won’t even notice because you will have built it up over time.

This process conditions your mind with incremental increases. It is sustainable and creates a new habit that is easy to integrate into your life. Yes, it may seem slow, but slow and steady does win the race, and it’s the fastest way to real, lasting change. Are you with me?

SKYLIGHT

Holistic coach and mindfulness expert Katie Hopkins shares her experience and insights as she lives an intentional life.

Have you ever suddenly stopped and realised that the moment you are experiencing blows your heart wide open? I’ve had many of those moments, and it feels like the Universe is suddenly on the go slow. You find yourself changing your pace. Instead of jumping from one task to another, Instead of hustling to succeed, Instead of rushing from one view to another. You stop. you slow down, you enjoy the journey, you pause, you breathe in and on the exhale you start living intentionally. Tasting food and flavours, that I cooked from the heart, and poured with love, which we all know is the secret ingredient.

As I watch my family savour dinner and nourish themselves, we will then snuggling with our children. I can smell their hair and feel the weight of their warm bodies in my lap. I Relish this feeling, it is so deep and primal. Long ago I had purposefully stored those feelings deeply away in my heart when my baby dreams didn’t eventuate.

19

The Universe, however, has wondrous ways of fulfilling your greatest desires and it often takes Divine Timing and complete surrender for them to be granted. Holding my husband’s hand and feeling his thumb brush over mine as it shoots little sparks of comfort up my arm and straight into my heart. He is my greatest manifestation. I often watch his every move, storing away details so I don’t miss anything when we aren’t together. Walking in my garden and witnessing my plant friends start to blossom or sprout shoots at the exact time that they are ready.

20

I can coach from the sidelines but the innate wisdom they hold within is only activated when the timing is right. I take nothing for granted these days. Each day is a gift. 24 hours of potential to be better than I was yesterday. More loving, more kind, more understanding, more empathetic, more compassionate - with myself and others The more I find that I intentionally live from my heart-space and yes, sometimes I wind up hurt. Other times, I get to witness the surprise on people’s faces for being shown kindness or being generous with my time.

These acts I know are lighting the way – a candle in the dark, but they aren’t always easy, as fear or doubt can be lurking. but they are necessary; For me at least. I bow into humility for all that I do not know yet and strive to listen to understand and learn in order to teach. I can gaze into the eyes of a stranger and think them beautiful I can express gratitude for a smile received, that not only reached my heart, but the givers eyes as well. I can slow down and marvel at the beauty of everyday existence. I invite you to start living intentionally and see what gifts life will bestow upon you in the ordinary.

MODERN LIFE Introducing our newest Columnist Emma Mulholland as we follow her on her Shamanic journey. For my first column for Untamed Soul, I want to talk a little about my journey with trees – and just how I came to “meet” my oak tree guardian. If you had told me even a year ago that I would discover that the oak tree is one of my spiritual allies, I would have looked at you like you had two heads!

22

Since commencing my Shamanic Practitioner training in January 2020, I have learnt so much about myself and Spirit that it’s difficult to know where to begin in putting some of it into words.

One of the traditional names for a tree spirit is “dryad”, which is essentially a reference to a tree’s higher self – just in the same way that we as humans each have a higher self. The size and wisdom of an individual dryad will depend upon the age of the tree, but their abilities remain constant, irrespective of size. Some people can sense the energy field of a single dryad from a great distance, particularly from an incredibly old tree. It always strikes me when walking in the woods that certain trees just have a power that draws your eye to it and more often than not, they are the ancient ones. In terms of connecting with dryads, I have been taught that when you take a shamanic journey to meet any nature spirit, you ought to be respectful in your approach. Ask how it would like to work with you, and what it would like in return for their assistance – usually, it’s a token gesture like ensuring your bird feeder is kept replenished, or for a sweet treat to be left when you visit a particular place, but it’s very important to honour what you are asked to do and not overlook it!

I was delighted when a magnificent oak appeared in my mind’s eye, because I’ve always felt that there’s just something particularly special about oak trees. The tree that showed itself to me as one of my allies was enormous – gnarly, cavernous and almost regal. I spent awhile dwelling joyfully in my heart as I made a connection with this mighty being.

So, when it came for me to journey to find out who my nature spirit ally is, I was curious to see who or what would step forward and why.

23

I asked the tree how it would like to help me with my spiritual work, and it communicated to me that they would act as a grounding and protective presence whenever I feel overwhelmed and the magnitude of life seems too great to bear. In return, I was asked to visit the woods at least once a week. As I opened my eyes, my heartfelt truly full and the urge arose to draw the tree as I saw it as another way to honour its spirit; carefully attaching a couple of fallen leaves found from an oak in a nearby park to the drawing.

" I asked the tree how it would like to help me with my spiritual work, and it communicated back..."

Forging a deeper connection to nature is truly a privilege, and so I encourage you to look at your local trees with fresh eyes, alight with new curiosity and wonder!

Reader Question... LW...

My question is will me and my current partner have the life I wish for? I want to be proposed to and family but don’t have any indication this will happen as he’s never vocal about these things. This has left me feeling confused for the past couple of years and I would like to know if it’s something I need to move on from or start doing more my end to make these things happen 25

Ohhhhh my darling LW! You are caught in the trap of “should I stay or should I go?” I don’t envy you; it’s a hard place to be! The thing is...you already know the answer, or you wouldn’t be asking. There is a part of you that absolutely knows what to do...but no matter what the answer is, it’s frightening.

Today, the Crone Stones have asked to speak to you...this is a first for my readings here at Untamed Soul! The Crone Stones are by artist Carol Lee Campbell and are based upon the three ages of women, Bride, Mother and Crone.

So, first what you need to know: The Crone

1st

You need to know that you have great wisdom inside of you; that you can be “1000 women at once and still be yourself”

Are you ready to step into the life of the woman you desire to become?

The Crone stands at doorways or thresholds, beckoning to you and asking if you are ready to step through. This question has a deeper, more spiritual meaning...

Would she wonder if she were worthy of marriage or would she ask the question that terrifies her? This, my darling, you must choose so that you may know.

Second, What you need to do: The Mother Stone.

26

The Mother Stone is about nurturing...and honestly, in this context, it is about you nurturing YOU. It is time for you to think about what you want to ask for it; and, to be brave enough to walk away if the answer is no.

2nd

Nurturing & Honesty

There can be no compromise when you are speaking of a life partner. Some things are black and white. You can’t be “kind of” married. You either are or you are not. The Mother Stone is based upon the Goddess Hera...who advocates equality in relationships.

The question is not just “are you worthy of him”, it is also “is HE worthy of YOU?” And...” are you worthy of each other?” The ultimate question again becomes my darling, “what do you want?”

Finally, the Challenge: Death, or The Waning Moon Now, don’t freak out...this stone used to be called the Death Stone, the artist now calls it “The Waning Moon” stone...which is just a way to say that a cycle is ending. And that’s not a bad thing. It may be a new beginning for you and your partner, or it may be the end of this relationship and the beginning of a new quest for that which you desire.

3rd

Only you can know the answer...but...if you notice, at the opposite end of the picture of the moon on the stone is an acorn, symbolizing renewal. You can do this my darling LW...the part of you that is questioning is the part of you that will never stop seeking and that is a beautiful thing...listen to it.

Good luck!

CHRISTINE

Crystal expert Christine Langdale shows us this month, how to work with crystals for Ancestral Healing “Happy New Year!!!”, followed by, “Have you made any resolutions” form part of many greetings at this time of year!! I suppose the idea of a “new year, new you” is what drives us, at this time of year, to try to make some changes. Whether you want to move house, find a new job, stop smoking or lose those excess pounds or get fit there are crystals to help you on your journey. As well as using your crystals, think about raising your energies in other ways in order to give yourself the best chance of success – try journaling about your wishes and desires as a first step to manifesting them.

28

If you want to try and create a new good habit, such as meditation, try linking it into an existing established routine such as cleaning your teeth – a new habit is easier to form if it simply tags along with an existing one!! Try a new moon meditation with your crystals, the new phase of the moon is a lovely time to set your new intentions.

"If you are trying to establish a new habit, try linking it into an existing part of your routine such as cleaning your teeth."

CLEAR QUARTZ Crown chakra The ultimate crystal for reprogramming your life, it’s energy will amplify your desires and the energy of any other crystals you choose to work with - work with it, to set your intentions in whatever sphere you choose, it will improve your quality of life and as a ‘feel better’ stone, will balance all chakras, align the whole person and allow you to make those changes.

TURQUOISE

Brow chakra

Brow Chakra – Turquoise – how can you not look at that lovely colour and not feel uplifted! If travel is in your plans this is the stone to work with, it will protect you and keep you safe on your journey. It was also used by Turkish soldiers to protect the riders from falling off their horses- so if a new hobby is on the horizon maybe take this for your first riding lessons….!!

29

BLUE CHALCEDONY Throat chakra

Blue Chalcedony, a creative stone, opening the mind and helping you to accept new ideas or situations, as a blue stone, it helps with communication including learning new languages if that is your desire!!

YELLOW CALCITE Solar plexus chakra I love the energy of all calcites, but yellow calcite, in particular, will help you clear out negative energies both within and around you, allowing you to cut ties that are not going to help in the new you. It’s also known as a stone that will help you learn and study, so is the one for you if you are looking to learn new skills or further your education.

30

AMAZONITE Heart cakra Amazonite a soothing stone that will allow you to take a risk, make changes and still remain calm. It's Ideal if you are looking to quit an addiction such as smoking. It is also another creative stone, allowing you to have those bright ideas and establish what it is you really want as part of the ‘new you’.

BLACK ONYX Root Chakra

CHRYSOPHASE Sacral Chakra Sacral Chakra- Chrysophase will bring energy to the sacral (as well as the heart) chakra, it could help you find a new partner when you least expect it or even stimulate fertility if you feel the time is right to introduce a new little soul to the world. Whatever you desire, it will help you to be open to new opportunities.

Root Chakra- Black Onyx will give you strength through difficult times, particularly when quitting addictions, it will also help keep those negative thoughts at bay – it will say “you can do this!

Hang in there, I’m with you every steo of the way..

Musings of a

SOUL JUNKIE

Robert Leons reflects on his first meeting with his dragon. Why my dragon came to mc.... Whilst I was integrating my second trip to Peru in February 2020, I was experiencing a real dip in my mental health. This time Ayahuasca had been deep, although non-descriptive, with no obvious shifts, just one or two realisations. Most of it was over my head so I just trusted all was as intended by the medicine and that I received what was needed.

If you’ve been suicidal for an extended period of time, you can develop a tendency to revert to that place, even when you’re largely out of the shadows and bouncing back. Suicidal thoughts can remain your auto-response to feeling low. Little did I know I was 10 minutes away from changing that cycle. I led on my bed feeling despondent, not really knowing what was wrong, other than obviously being in my head. My connection with my guides was growing as a result of my training, but I was still getting used to actually remembering to connect in the first place, you know, as a way of life. I decided to drop in to do a journey. I had no idea what was about to unfold. My visions vary in strength, at times they are clear as day, at times they are crazy, sometimes though, they are off the charts and you’re pretty much along for the ride.

32

"I had no idea what was about to unfold, you are pretty much along for the ride.."

Whoooosh! I was straight into a vivid scene, staring up at a huge God-like figure with some ancient chapel. I was firing anger towards him with balls of fire. I thought I should probably stop that and I began to rise, effortlessly at first yet gaining momentum and as I did, I morphed or shape-shifted into a dragon. Bursting out of the top of a 200 ft tower I’d been trapped in, I flew higher and higher and I could see liquid flames oozing from between my scales as I let fire from my mouth rip through the sky like lightning. I had no desire to turn my rage towards the helpless people running scared beneath me, and after 5 minutes or so, I settled on a hilltop with a sigh of relief. I opened my eyes and felt amazing pure relief, but that was just the start. I went back in to ask the dragon ‘where does that rage come from?’ He dove straight into my heart and I was transported in a flash to many different events throughout my childhood and growing up, times in the army and so on. I had an aerial view as a spectator. I understood from the dragon that this is not to be healed at this moment though. Three weeks passed, three heavenly, positive weeks.

I set the intention and journeyed, again I shape-shifted and this time revisited these scenes, these memories, and many more, letting go all of the hidden rage from within my heart into the sky. Those times I’d remained mute, those times I’d suppressed everything or kept quiet. It was amazing, pure magic, and after 40 minutes, exhausting. Not long after this experience, I found myself deep in a challenging situation with a family member. It was heartwrenching dealing with the conflict, anger, frustration and pain. But I noticed, my response is no longer one of the darkest places to be, to immediately revert to imagining my end.

33

I was positive, seeing the gift in all of it and being supported and held by my guides who’s relationships I’ve been focussed on this year. I guess it’s often hidden from us because we’re loving souls, and simply unaware of the extent of what’s buried, despite the work we’ve done. But rage, pain, fear and so on, do not belong in our hearts. Thankfully, I still see my dragon. The most beautiful thing in all of this is that now, he swoops in to help heal others during my 1 to 1 session when necessary. He works with other people’s hearts and he has a team I’m getting to know. I am very grateful to be on my shamanic path, it’s my truth. However, let that not be the message.

Find what resonates, explore all modalities, get into nature, start a hobby, search inside, follow your heart, heal when you need to, push against resistance when you can, but always try. Remember what doesn’t work is still a valuable lesson on your journey. It takes time. Not any one thing will be your answer but a combination of things and as you grow, don’t stop, keep going. This is why my dragon came to me, we are all gifted. Lots of love,

Roberto.

Keep going and keep trying different things is what I really want to say to others that are or have struggled and have relapses.

TOOLKIT There are so many options when it comes to Journaling lets talk through the way & the how in this months toolkit

CATCH SOME WAVES IN

Introducing Helen Bartram from 'That Friday Feeling' Podcast with her new Monthly Column. Join Helen as she shares her tips, tricks & tools to bring that Friday feeling everyday... This months topic: Journaling

Let’s be honest, 2020 was a toughy. One of the things that helps me with tricky times (and it’s not just me science shows us this helps too) is... Journaling. If you don’t journal already - now is the perfect time to start. If you do journal, it’s time to get even more creative in the ways you use journaling. Journaling can play an important role in your healing, your ability to BE in the present moment and help you manifest your future dreams. What is journaling? Well, remember when you were a child and you would keep a diary of all your experiences and feelings - I guess, it’s the adult version of that!

35

Gratitude journaling Consciously focusing on and writing about things that make you feel grateful. Research suggests listing 3 things daily that you are grateful for. I believe whatever feels right for you will give you the greatest sense of reward.

18

Journaling your journey -

Why now? It’s January and we have all heard of the January blues - creating daily habits such as journaling can really boost your mood, reduce stress and anxiety symptoms and enhance your mental health and wellbeing. How to Journal: It’s really simple, grab a notepad and pen and just start writing. Let it flow, share your feelings, experiences, lessons, win’s but most importantly write whatever naturally feels right for you. Try to take time every day to journal - to reap the maximum benefits. Ideas for what to journal about:

THE PODCAST

36

Writing about your experience may be relating to everyday life or perhaps in relation to a certain project. Keeping a ‘log’ of your journey will allow you the opportunity to reflect, take the lessons, celebrate the wins and physically see your growth. Self-love journaling This one can be a little bit tricky, to begin with. Taking time out to think about and write about the things that you love about yourself. Maybe you handled a tricky situation well, it could be that you achieved a goal or perhaps some days surviving the day will be your proud moment to write about. Journal your way through January notice how this makes you feel and why not continue it as part of your daily routine. Remember it doesn't have to make sense to anyone else but you. If it feels good, keep going!

Then ask yourself what hurdles are you placing in the way of life?

Day Twenty-Two: When you close your eyes what mental picture enters your awareness when you think of pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone? HOLISTICALLY y h t l a e H Happy & Yoga Teacher, Reiki Healer and Intuitive Coach, Michelle Taylor shares with us holistic routes to greater happiness and health. There’s something about the new year that inspires us to want to make changes, to live our lives with more joy, passion and freedom. This year maybe more so than most. Every January we are encouraged to makeover our lives, “New Year New You!” the adverts shout. But here’s the rub: It implies that we are not already enough as we are, that we are deficient in some way and with this miraculous diet / new car/beauty treatment etc. we will then be the shiny new us that can do all the wonderful things we have dreamed about. I’m here to remind you that you are already enough. We all are. We are born enough.

Personal growth to me is accepting that you are always loved and supported and enough as the foundation to then doing the inner work to really feel and believe it. Along the journey you may nourish your body better and feel better, you may exercise more, you may treat yourself to new things that play to your new confidence, but all of this is while you are still enough in the process.

41

You deserve to feel it, to be happy and healthy in body, mind and soul but it all starts from within. One practice that is consistently shown to improve our happiness is a gratitude practice, why not start the new year by making gratitude a habit?

Reasons why gratitude practice works... As the saying goes, “Energy flows where attention goes”. From an energetic perspective, the law of attraction states that we will attract more of what we are a vibrational match for. Practising gratitude will help raise our vibration, attracting more higher vibration experiences into our life. Practising gratitude will also work with your heart chakra, help you feel more connected to the world around you and grateful to a higher power (whatever your understanding of that is). From a neuroscience perspective, we all have a cognitive bias. Our brain will sift through all of the information it receives in a day and filter out all that it considers “unimportant” but really pay attention to the things that fit with our existing beliefs and expectations. So if we make it a habit to be grateful, we start looking for things to be grateful for. It becomes a habit. Once our mind realises, “hey, this stuff is important to us now”,

12 42

it will start noticing more things that fit with that belief and you will start to find yourself noticing more and more things to be grateful for. These things would still have been there but if your mind doesn’t know that these things are important, it will likely just filter them out and pass them by. It’s a simple fact that our emotional state affects our physical body. If we buy into the fact that we are not enough, our life is not enough, this can impact our sense of self-esteem and self-worth, potentially having a role to play in persistent low mood or depression.

We now know that depression comes with a whole heap of physical symptoms: low energy, increased sensitivity to pain, aching muscles, headaches, abdominal pain… the list goes on. By finding ways to shift our emotional state, if we can decrease our length of stay in the lower vibration emotions then we can, in turn, start to reduce the impact on our physical body.

One way to get started with a gratitude practice Buy a separate diary to dedicate to gratitude. Every day write down what you are grateful for, from “my family and friends” all the way down to “the way the sun was glistening off the frost on my car this morning”. Notice the little things.

Life with

THE ANGELS With Our Angel Expert Yvonne Bottarelli

Welcome to January and may I wish you a Happy New Year. The new year is a time to reflect on how much you have grown in the last year, and how you wish to create the year ahead of you, usually a time to set goals and make new plans. Make new choices about the path you are on, the Angels are always by your side cheering you on. This morning was a misty one, I decided to do a walking meditation today, my dog agreed it was a great idea. As I headed out I took a garden trowel with me, as I knew a long my walk there were stone steps that had become muddy through the winter and had become slippy. As I walk I send my roots deep into the earth

44

I breathe down a beautiful golden light from above and invite the Angels and my guides to walk with me. My heart is filled with gratitude as I watch nature hearing the birds, seeing the trees bear, but also respecting this time of winter where we go within. I cleared the pathway of the first steps, happy knowing I am also being of service to others. I continue my walk, the pathway I wish to take I couldn't because of cattle in the field the second pathway was also not able to pass. I continued up the road and took a different path, one I had never taken before and as I walked my views were different, I was experiencing a completely different reality, it was delightful.

I felt the angels around me and my guides and I heard their whispers you always have a choice to choose a different pathway, you always have a choice as to how you see things, your perspective is your reality. I came to the second set of steps slightly more than the ones before, once again I cleared the mud from the stones, as I worked the Angels whispered “you clear the path for others ”I replied yes I know I am clearing the path of myself and others, and they said no this is what “ you do, you clear the path for others”. I was reminded how beautifully our life on all levels is so perfectly interwoven, that which we achieve on a metaphysical spiritual level, and which we achieve on a physical level, is a mere reflection. I was once waiting for the information about an Angel course to arrive in the post. ( the first one had got lost) I was getting a little frustrate, as I knew I was talking to the Angels but I needed the qualification for the insurance so as I could practice. I asked the Angels where is was?

y r a u n a J

The guidance I received was that I had leaves on my pathway, following my guidance, I slipped into meditation to the garden sanctuary within my heart, and I decided to clear my garden and sure enough, the pathway was covered in leaves I was completely immersed in the clearing of the leaves, that I nearly jumped out my skin when there was a bang on the door. Sure enough, it was the postman with my course information. Let's make this our January Wish Meditation, wishing for our paths to be cleared. In your journal find the time to write down all the things that you wish to create, for the year ahead. When the time is right in the space where you prefer to connect with the Angels

WISH MEDITATION Have a journal where you can write to the Angels.

Let’s begin our wishes. Dear Archangel Michael, I wish protection for...... (fill this is as you desire for yourself or for others. Michael is omnipresent your wishes can be many or you may want to wish for guidance.

45

Invite your Angels to join you now... Breathing into your heart centre, You find a doorway leading down a marble staircase, you follow the stairs down, at the bottom of the staircase is the most beautiful garden a sanctuary that is you inner dwelling.

Take a deep cleaning breath & send your energy deep down into the earth, breathing earth energy back up to your heart. Above your head, there is a beautiful golden light, breath this energy down into your heart. Take a moment to connect, feel this golden light fill the room or the space you are in.

Yvonne is based in Taunton UK as a holistic and spiritual Healer. Yvonne combines her certified therapies with her empathic nature and spiritual wisdom to guide, empower, heal and support. yvonne@healing-you.co.uk 46

Ask your Angels to show you what areas of your garden represents your path ahead, see if it needs work or attention. You can ask your Angels to help you, like magic they can assist you, or you can imagine doing the hands-on job yourself. When you feel happy that everything is done, you can return to the marble staircase, taking each step in gratitude, returning to your heart. Giving thanks to your Angels when you feel ready, in your consciousness fully back into your body and opening your eyes. MOON PHASES With our Moon Expert Emma Halley @happyholisticscrystalreiki

I love working with the moon. Once you realise the ebb and flow of the Lunar cycles have a direct effect on us and the way we think and feel, you can start to get to grips with harnessing that energy for your highest good and take advantage of it so you are in alignment with it, rather than resisting it. You may have noticed how some days you just feel like you could sleep all day, yet you know you’ve slept plenty, or you feel heavy and burdened, but can’t put your finger on why.

You may have periods when you feel alive with ideas and make plans, only to find you have no energy to carry them out, or your ideas fade off into obscurity. Much of this could come from fighting the energy of the moon and its phases. After all, we know that the oceans can’t fight the push and pull of the moon, and we are 70% water! Here follows a guide for the Moon Phases of January. Grab a pen and make a note of significant dates in your calendar or diary, Coming into 2021, we will be riding the wave of the final Full Moon of 2020, which has just occurred on December 30th.

47

JANUARY The moon is waning, and the energy of releasing and letting go is a full pelt, which is perfect after the year we’ve all just had! Interestingly, now according to the moon phase it is not the best time to be setting those New Years Resolutions. Wait until the New Moon on the 13th for that. The Last Quarter Moon appears on the 6th of January, leading us into its Balsamic Phase. The Balsamic Moon is the tail end of the Moons full Lunar Cycle. We’ve reached the end and we’ve done all we can for this lunar cycle. It’s time to sit back and rest quietly and easily before the New Moon breaks. The Full Moon lands this month on the 28th and is known as the Wolf Moon, the time of year that the wolves would howl. In Leo this month and a perfect sign for a Full Moon Gratitude Ceremony. Leo’s are proud and bold, it’s time to look at your achievements so far, no matter how small they seem this early in the year, and be grateful for what you have accomplished so far and all the things you are going to accomplish.

48

The New Moon this month is in Capricorn, and it’s the perfect time zero in on those ambitions for the year ahead. Set your intentions with a New Moon Intention Setting Ceremony, Paying close attention to areas of your life that you find yourself trying to control a little too rigidly. Successful Intention Setting comes from the ability to release expectations. From the 20th January, we move into the First Quarter Moon Phase and it's time for action. Taking positive steps towards our goals for the year can be hugely successful if we do them specifically under the energy of the First Quarter, but beware, this is also the time that we normally start to resist the moon's growing energy and we may feel a little twitchy. Don’t let those self-doubts creep in..you are more than are capable.

THE IMPORTANCE OF

Human Connection Jo Gifford explains why human connection is needed now more than ever. Human connection is the lifeblood of humanity.

Human connection is where we are seen, heard, witnessed and held.

It’s the very essence of what it means to be a living, breathing soul in the physical human condition.

It's where ideas are born, where we feel a shared sense of experience, and where innovation happens. It’s where grief is shared, and sometimes a belly laugh over a soy flat white is the best healer.

Connection happens in so many ways; from the power of conscious eye contact to a hug, a conversation, a moment in community, a circle, at a meal or over coffee. It matters. It really matters.

Human connection is where we are seen, heard, witnessed and held. It's where ideas are born, where we feel a shared sense of experience, and where innovation happens.

49

It’s where grief is shared, and sometimes a belly laugh over a soy flat white is the best healer. In 2020, we saw human connection challenged. In-person time was severely compromised, our hug quotas slashed, and our sense of a shared experience suddenly turned into isolation instead of community. We need other humans (albeit in small doses, if you happen to be a fellow introvert). So, how can we make human connection mean more? And what can we do to bring it back into our experience when society is challenged?

SPRING

#1 Be Present. Presence is a gift that is all the more precious right now. Staying present, offering the gift of truly listening and collecting all your energy to be with the human right in front of you makes an enormous difference. It's how we experience connection; whether on a Zoom call or in real life, staying present and in the moment allows for a real connection to take place.

and create a culture around you where this is the new norm. The ripple effect in the workplace, home life, and wider society is profound.

#2 The Art of Listening. Listening is a huge gift that benefits everyone in a conversation. Allow ideas to emerge uninterrupted, witness thoughts and emotions without needing to change or fix them,

Sending WhatsApp voice notes, or an email with a brief Loom video cuts through the sea of text on email and social channels to allow the nuances of personality and energy to be experienced. Words are powerful; the spoken word, all the more so. That's where the magic hits.

50

#3 Use Your Voice and Video to Connect. Where in-person human connection isn't possible, using your voice and video to connect goes a long way in creating deeper connections remotely.

#4 Connect to Yourself. Connection to yourself is where all human connection starts. Humans need connection to nature and connection to our own souls and higher selves as the core foundation of being able to mindfully connect to others. Get out in nature, spend time in meditation and reflection; allow yourself space and gift others your presence from that place. Creating change starts with human connection. Whether in person or remotely, at work or at home, we're all human. And we need each other.

BUSINESS

Resolutions or Resolute? It’s that time of year again! The time when we have all made a list of the massive life overhauls we are going to implement to make 2021 the best year ever (or at least to make it better than 2020- admittedly, a very low bar). It is truly rare to meet someone that sticks with their New Year’s resolutions past the first month or two of the year, and it is even unusual to talk to someone halfway through the year who remembers what their resolutions even were! So what can you do this year to make sure that you stick to your resolutions and actually start making sure that you achieve your goals?

Think in terms of goals, not resolutions To “resolve” to do something is basically the same thing as “deciding” to do it.

52

And decisions are great… but they don’t actually move the needle when it comes to actually accomplishing something. You can’t quantify a decision (did you resolve to lose 20 pounds better today than you resolved to do it yesterday?), so, other than pointing you in the right direction, a resolution really does nothing for you. Goals, on the other hand, are measurable. If you decide that your goal is to make an extra $2,000 per month, you can clearly see if you did or didn’t make that goal simply by checking your bank statement.

Make sure you are setting the right goals A good goal is meaningful, specific, and believable. Most people set fairly arbitrary goals (“I want to make a $2,000 more every month.” “I want to lose 20 pounds.”). But better goals have a strong “reason why” attached to them (“I want to make $2,000 more every month because I want to be able to afford to move to a better school district so that my child can receive a better education.”). Good goals are also very specific- “I want to make $2,000 more per month” vs. “I want to make more money.” If your goal isn’t specific, then how will you know that you have achieved your goal?

If you just wanted to “make more money,” and you find a quarter on the sidewalk, did you just achieve your goal? Specific goals are also measurable, and you can easily track the progress towards achieving them. Finally, a good goal is believable. So many people get caught up in the ubiquitous “You can have anything you want!”-style Law of Attraction messages, Flippantly say something like “I want to attract a million dollars into my life!” and then find themselves in the exact same financial position a year later.

53

Think of your manifestations more like stepping stones- each desire that you are able to physically manifest simply leads you towards the next amazing manifestation.

Actions speak louder than words (or resolutions!)

But a huge part of manifesting things into your life is believing that your desire is so real and achievable that you can actually feel it. It is very important that you become emotionally invested in your desire, that you can visualize the minute details of how having the thing you desire tastes, smells, feels, sounds, and looks. While many people say that they want a million dollars, very few of them actually believe that it is possible for them. So make sure that you pick something that you believe is possible for you (even if it is a bit of a stretch!). Don’t worry- you won’t “use up” your opportunities to manifest things. Once you have manifested one desire, you simply move on to the next, bigger, expanded desire.

54

The whole point of goals is not to simply have a goal, it is to achieve your goal. So for every goal that you have, you should also have a constantly updated list of action steps (aka, todo’s) that you are implementing in your life that moves you ever closer to achieving that goal.

Keep your eye on the prize One of the main reasons that most people don’t stick with their resolutions or achieve their goals is simply due to the fact that they forget about them. As humans, we tend to get stuck in ruts of routine, so if you aren’t constantly reminding yourself that you are actively trying to change the routine (and forcing yourself to take those uncomfortable actions of growth and change), then your life will remain the same.

Post your goal where you will see it frequently, and every time you see it, force yourself to slow down and actually read your goal and question yourself if you are doing anything TODAY towards actually achieving it. Good places to display it are on/beside your desk, on a wall beside your bed, on a post-in attached to your computer monitor, on the cover of your journal, on the bathroom mirror, or on the steering wheel of your car. Consider writing your goal down 5-10 times every morning before you get started planning your day, and again before you go to sleep.

Accountability For whatever reason, many people are OK with letting themselves down but take disappointing someone else much more seriously. UNTOLD STORIES witr r e h s e r T Penny

Our expert writer, editor and speaker, Penny shares her passion for her words with our community... Read

Welcome to 2021… I think most of us will be more than happy to leave 2020 behind us. A new year is like the first page of a brand-new notebook. Gleaming, pristine, and just waiting for words to flow onto the paper. Full of possibility. Personally, I cannot resist the allure of a new journal. I am always grateful to have a reason to purchase one. There are several sitting on the shelf in my office waiting for a new project. Similarly, there is nothing like a New Year to provide the motivation you need to begin your writing project. If you have decided that 2021 is going to be the year that you get started, here are 7 tips to help you.

All good writers read. Books, magazines, blogs. Reading will help you find your writing style, improve your vocabulary, spark your imagination, and provide inspiration.“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that. – Stephen King”

Decide What do you want to write? A book? A blog? And who are you writing for? Who is your audience? Visualising what you want to create, and who your readers are, can help you begin to focus in on your finished product.

“A writer is someone who has taught his mind to misbehave"-

Oscar Wilde

It will also help you pitch your book for publishing when the time comes. Time Frame – when do you want to finish? And the end date can really help you to focus. But like the title, it need not be set in stone.

Commit Choose a Title Choose a Title. I have found that a title is a brilliant starting point. It does not have to be set in stone, but it seems to give a writing project substance. If a title doesn’t jump out at you straight away, brainstorm one! List as many as you can think of and pick one as a working title.

Make a plan Once you have decided what and who, start to think about how. Things you might want to consider: Word count – a rough idea of the total number of words in your finished project will help you work out a timescale, and you can break it down into weekly or even daily chunks. Synopsis – Whether you are writing a novel or a non-fiction book, sketching out a brief summary will help further with the structure.

If you want to succeed and get your writing out into the world, make a commitment to doing it. Be consistent, set time aside every day to write. The world needs to hear your stories!

Get some Support Get some support. Writing can be a solitary activity. Friends and family will of course be very happy to critique and review your work, and it is a great idea to get some independent support. Find a mentor or join a writer’s group for honest and constructive advice. And for some good ‘ole accountability if you need it!

Write! If you do nothing else. Get the words on paper. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar, or goals. Don’t edit or count. Just write. Let the words flow and enjoy the joy of creating something rather wonderful!

KITCHEN

Our very own seasonal foraging expert and kitchen witch Jill Wheeler brings us her special recipe for New Year Tincture.

January. A long, dark month of hibernation. A time for reflection and conserving energy. It is also an important time for boosting your immune system. With light levels low and bugs and viruses around, our immune systems need to be in good shape to blast these away. Eating well and nourishing the soul with nutrient-rich foods and getting fresh air with long walks are essential. However, if you find yourself eating up the Christmas junk leftovers and feeling rather meh, then this month’s recipe could be just the pick me up you need and its super easy to make.

58

You can even use up leftover Christmas alcohol in your cupboard. This month we will be making a tincture. Tinctures are concentrated fresh or dried herb extracts steeped in alcohol. The alcohol breaks down the cell wall, so bio-active compounds are released. Tinctures have been around for many centuries, as far back as Ancient Egypt. Tinctures were used medicinally as early as the 12th century and in the Victoria, era became widespread and extremely popular for treating ailments.

It was only the rapid advancement of pharmaceuticals that saw a decline in their use and herbs were instead artificially synthesised into modern pills. The practice of self-healing became almost a taboo, advice being that they could interfere with modern medicines and could result in bad side effects and that as there was no scientific evidence for their effectiveness, they were brushed aside. They were unlicensed products that did not make money, take a pill instead! However, the tables are turning, and we are seeing a comeback in natural and herbal medicine practitioners. Something that was effectively used for centuries for ailments surely has its merits in modern society. Many of the historical recipes and knowledge of herbal tinctures and remedies in the UK were lost during the era of James VI of Scotland (James I of UK). This was a time when persecution of witches was rife, and anyone caught using herbs to treat ailments were under suspicion of being a witch and either burnt or drowned. Written texts and recipes burnt with them. It would seem that the need for control and greed has not been kind to nature's medicine cabinet.

"The tables are turning and we are seeing a comeback in natural & herba;s medicine pratitioners." I am no expert on herbal medicines. I just know the effect of trialling things and how my own body has responded. So, with this in mind, I would as always hedge on the side of caution and see how your own body reacts to using them. The usual caveat applies – if you have any medical history or conditions and/or taking any prescribed medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, then always consult your GP before trying any herbal concoctions.

59

e p i c e R s th n o M s i Th YOU WILL NEED... Place all the dried ingredients in the jar or bottle then add the alcohol.

You will need a glass bottle or large jar (500ml), a sieve and a jug

Give the bottle or jar a good shake. Keep shaking daily for a few weeks until the tincture takes on a deep colour.

Ingredients:

When you are ready to use, take a jug and pour the contents through the sieve into the jar then refill the jar with the clear liquid. Take daily as a tonic, a few drops at first but you can increase this to up to a teaspoon a day depending on how you feel. Take throughout winter or when you feel you need a boost. If the taste is not pleasant, then dilute in water or tonic water or add to juice. Feel free to try other herbs and spices in your tinctures to make it palatable to your tastes

60

100 g Dried elderberries X 2 Cinnamon sticks 1 tbsp Fennel seeds1 tbsp dried echinacea root 2 x star anise 5 x whole cloves Sufficient vodka or brandy to fill the jar (approx. 500 ml), 80% proof preferable. For a non-alcoholic version you can use raw apple cider vinegar instead

The Power of Herbs... The power of herbs, here is a run down on potential benefits of the ingredients used: Elderberries – high in Vitamin C, flavonoids, high in antioxidants that can help reduce cold and flu symptoms Cinnamon – aids digestion, balances blood sugar levels, antioxidants improve circulation Fennel – antibacterial qualities, antioxidants, reduces inflammation,

Star Anise – bioactive compounds good for health, flavonoids, antioxidant, antiinflammatory and anti-microbial. Wishing you all a peaceful & Healthy New Year!

x x y Jill

Echinacea root – immune-boosting, reduces inflammation, lowers blood sugar, effective in preventing winter cold and flu symptoms. Cloves – rids digestive tract of unwanted bacteria

WITH YOLANDI BOSHOFF

Join Spiritual Soul Coach Yolandi on her journey to the sacred sites of the world... When I moved to the UK 18 months ago from South Africa, I was so excited to be able to spend more time at the various stone circles near my home in Devon. But then one morning I saw a post on a friend’s timeline about dolmens. I saw this picture and my heart skipped a beat, I had to know more‌I found one close to where I live and started doing more research into why my heart was calling to visit this interesting megalithic structure.

62

I have learnt over the years that you cannot always understand the calling when it begins, all you can do is trust it. I learnt that these structures are formed with a large stone slab (like a roof) on top of two or more upright slabs. The size of some of the structures are stunning considering they dated back as far as 5000 BC.

Many moons ago these structures would have been covered in small stones and earth to form a burial site or a site of worship. What we see today is basically the skeleton of the dolmen. A few weeks later a book on Womb Awakening (Written by Azra and Seren Bertrand) arrived on my doorstep and as I opened the book a picture of a dolmen was right there in front of me. I was laughing at my guides for being so in my face as to why I needed to visit this site! They wrote about the knowledge of the ancient Shamans around dolmens the journeying soul would enter the womb space (dark space within the dolmen) to visit other dimensions and worlds. Dolmens are also called portal tombs – a portal to higher dimensions. This obviously made my heart sing, and I knew I had to go. On a rainy day, I and a dear Soul Sister set off to go and visit this sacred site called Spinster’s Rock. People often ask me why I feel so drawn to certain sacred places. Sacred sites were chosen by the ancients because of energy lines that cross these sites. When different energy lines cross, it creates a vortex of energy.

You will often find people dowsing energy lines around sacred sites. So, when we step into these sites - we connect with the different energies, this leads to us remembering some forgotten part of ourselves as well as past life memories. It is like a switch being turned on again. That was exactly what this site did for me – the three stones holding up the 16tonne capstone represented 3 parts of myself – Maiden, Mother and Crone. We spent time first connecting with each individual stone, the energy of each stone brought up wounds and strengths that wanted to be seen and acknowledged.

"Sacred sites were chosen by the ancients because of the energy lines that cross the site."

63

This time of insight showed me how I was suppressing a lot of anger and pain. That day I was able to leave it all behind there, thanks to this magical structure.

At this site, I was able to connect to those parts of myself and heal my Divine Feminine wounds. The visit to this site was truly magical and changed so much within me.

I could understand so much more about myself and how I could view my life from another vantage point.

Dolmens are found all over the UK and many places in Europe, Asia and Africa. Each one will awaken something new within you.

When we are in these spaces the energy supports our ability to look at our wounds and problems from a higher perspective.

So, take some time and get out there visiting those mysterious dolmens! Many Blessings

2021 y g o l o r e Num Let us look at the year ahead with our numerology expert Denise Martinez Rossini 2021 this is vibrating universally as a 5 known as The Free One. This is a year of expected and unexpected adventures. It will be action-packed, a little crazy at times but overall lots of fun and success. It’s a year of being brave, spreading your wings and taking calculated risks. You could feel a truer sense of freedom and not as restricted as you may have done last year. You will have the best results this year if you just get used to going with the flow. It’s an ideal time to promote yourself as you will more than likely find your voice this year and have the confidence to speak out. There may also be opportunities for travel for you that will bring new friends and adventures.

You could have a fun-filled year if you embrace your positive vibes for sure even though your energy may feel a little scattered and chaotic at times. There may still be a lot of people going down conspiracy rabbit holes and being sucked up into chaos. But just focus on your own path and steer away from this energy. More and more people are aware of the collective consciousness of human ascension and awakening. Faith and belief in the Universe, God, spirit and self are being fully embraced with love and gratitude Numerology is a key factor in understanding the language of the universe and how it can reveal all of its magic to us.

I HAVE I WILL I AM I LOVE

The 5 is a truly magical number in its association with manifesting.2021 could see huge success and heightened activity with new groundbreaking insights and understandings of manifesting and The Law of Attraction too. Here’s a little manifesting challenge a lot of my clients have had success with by embracing the magical energy of the number 5.555

66

For instance, you could choose a new bag. You could write your affirmation as ‘I am grateful that I have my new bag. It is truly beautiful and I love it.’ Now here is what you have to do to train your subconscious mind into a state of openness for manifesting energy. You have to write out your affirmation 55 times a day for 5 days.

MANIFESTING CHALLENGE

You have to write in in capital letters to emphasise its energy. You can split it into sections but you have to do it 55 times a day. This is important to train your subconscious mind.

555 is a way of training your subconscious mind into a manifesting state.

If you want to truly get into the vibe you can start it at 5.55 am and finish at 5.55 pm!

You have to be committed to doing this challenge and stick to it. To do the challenge, choose one thing you want to manifest and turn it into an affirmation. You have to put it as if you already have it and use the RIGHT WORDS in your affirmation. I HAVE I WILL I AM I LOVE

If you miss a day, start again.

It’s important to remember manifesting won’t work for you if you have a bad relationship with money! What is your relationship like with money? How is your moneyship! Imagine your money as your partner, let’s look at what happens. If your partner wants to go out and you moan, sulk and fret they won’t come back every time they do your partner will leave you for a more loving relationship. So will your money.

If you tell your family and friends how much you love your partner and how wonderful your relationship is, your partner will love you even more and shower you with gifts large and small. Flowers, chocolates, shoes, a car even a home. So will your money! Do you need to improve your moneyship? Be brave this year and embrace all the magic! Unleash your free spirit and enjoy all the possibilities of love joy and abundance. Speak from your soul's voice and flow with alignment so you can call in your dreams!

Now let's look at the Numerology for the first month of this Fabulous New Year... 67

NUMEROLOGY forecast

January this year vibrates universally as a 6, known as "The Caring One".

Take the action to keep your love vibe high. Remember that the most important relationship always starts with you.

January this year vibrates universally as a 6 known as The Caring One. Both January and February this year reflect the vibrational energy of November and December 2020.

Focus on self-love to make sure your own cup is full so you can let it flow from you to embrace others too.

It almost gives us a second chance to focus on this energy. January again focuses on love. Allow romance to blossom for you and accept compliments so that love can grow! Within all relationships this month, don’t be afraid to take the lead. It’s not a month for just going with the flow. Don’t hold back if you feel you need to speak up or make some changes to.

68

Remember also it’s important to protect your own energy even when coming from a place of love. If you are around negative energy you don’t have to take it onboard into your own frequency. You can listen without agreeing. Don’t be dragged into gossip or drama. Put your boundaries of self=respect into place. January gives us an opportunity to create new beginnings and new stories for ourselves.

So it’s important to fully look forward rather than looking back. The 4th especially gives us an opportunity to really listen to our soul voice and intuition. And the 5th has ethereal energy that encourages us to really step up out of our comfort zone to be both seen and heard. I’m not a believer in setting New Year resolutions as we can often beat ourselves up with guilt for not meeting them and that’s not a great start to your year. So instead create a new vision board that will inspire you instead. January should be all about empowering yourself to move forward with a vibrant spring in your step! We also have two days where the Universe showers its magic on us! The 14th is a day to focus on calling in abundance and seeing yourself as you truly want to be seen. It’s a great day to put inspired ideas into action too. At the end of the month, the 28th brings beautiful energy of spiritual connection. It’s a day of karmic balance and synchronistic opportunities. It’s also a day for being fully aware of your sixth sense and third eye activity.

January’s Full Moon is on the 13th It vibrates universally as a 1 known as The Independent Leader. This is a significant full moon as it has a spiritual emphasis on our self and our beliefs. We are being encouraged to connect with our core self and our faith whatever that may be. Having strong belief and faith helps grow inner strength. It’s another opportunity to release any energies holding you back so that you can move forward with stronger light within. When gathering your crystals for your ritual you may want to add in Carnelian and Amber for strength and confidence to vitalize your moon energy.

"It's important to use this time to fully look forward rather than looking back."

69

January’s New Moon is on the 28th It vibrates universally as a 7 known as The Spiritual One. This is ideal energy for a new moon as it absolutely encourages us to focus on our spiritual journey and being in balance with giving and receiving.

It shows us how sowing our seeds for success can bring in abundance. This is encouragement for us not to give up on our dreams even when we feel a little discouraged at times. There is also an emphasis on moving and growing with your manifesting skills especially for the coming month too. So go big when setting your New Moon intentions. You have a beautiful opportunity to set a scene for where you truly want to be this year so fully embrace it! Live in love, joy and abundance.
