A MASTERPIECE ON THE WATER:
The Design Inspiration of S.S. Emilie
At Uniworld, we’re constantly evolving –reimagining what luxury river cruising can be, and refining every detail to deliver unforgettable experiences. Our newest Super Ship, S.S. Emilie, is the latest expression of that vision.
Inspired by Gustav Klimt's artistry, S.S. Emilie is a tribute to beauty, creativity, and timeless design. Klimt’s iconic use of gold, pattern, and texture shaped the ship’s interiors–from hand-selected artwork and gilded accents to flowing curves and opulent textiles. Named after Emilie Flöge, Klimt’s muse and a pioneering designer in her own right, the ship also honours bold femininity and Viennese elegance.
We believe the magic of travel lies in the details – in how a space makes you feel, and how seamlessly it connects you to the culture and stories of the destination. S.S. Emilie is not simply a vessel to carry you along the Danube; she’s an invitation to experience Central Europe's art, history and romance with all the beauty and grace you’ve come to expect from Uniworld.
With S.S. Emilie, we welcome a new chapter in our story – where timeless elegance meets artistic daring, and every journey feels like a masterpiece.
