Warm regards.

Congratulations to all the awardees!

Today, we honor teaching and non-teaching workforce, departments, and initiatives that have demonstrated exceptional quality in education, research, and organizational effectiveness. Likewise, the occasion fosters a spirit of achievement and encourages continuous improvement among all members of the university. Message

In today’s rapidly changing and unpredictable environment, where volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) are constant companions, and brittleness, anxiety, nonlinearity and incomprehensibility (BANI) define our challenges, one thing remains clear: QUALITY IS OUR ANCHOR.

Today, as we celebrate the achievements of those who have upheld and elevated quality in the face of such challenges, we recognize the critical role of resilience, adaptability, and innovation in maintaining high standards.

Our award recipients have not only embraced the unpredictable – they have thrived in it. They have shown that amidst uncertainty, it is possible to sustain excellence, continuously improve, and drive impactful results. Whether in processes, products, or services. Their commitment has ensured that quality remains a CORE PILLAR of our success, even in turbulent times.

To everyone who is being recognized in the CEU 2024 Quality Awards Day, your ability to navigate complexity while upholding the highest standards of quality is nothing short of inspirational. You are the proof that, despite the challenges of a VUCA and BANI world, excellence is always attainable.

Let us continue to adapt, innovate, and ensure that quality remains at the heart of everything we do, no matter what the future holds.

Congratulations, and thank you for the unwavering dedication!

Message

At Centro Escolar University, our pursuit of quality is more than a professional obligation—it is a profound act of love for the people we work with and serve. Each step we take towards sustaining excellence reflects our deep commitment to those who place their trust in us, be they students, colleagues, or the broader community. The Quality Awards Day is an opportunity to celebrate this dedication and to recognize those who embody the principles of innovation and excellence within our institution.

This year’s theme, “Sustaining Quality Amidst a VUCA and BANI World: Celebrating CEU’s Agility and Collective Resilience,” could not be more fitting. In an era marked by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA), and compounded by Brittleness, Anxiousness, Nonlinearity, and Incomprehensibility (BANI), our ability to maintain quality is tested like never before. Yet, it is in these very moments of challenge that CEU’s true strength emerges—our agility, our resilience, and above all, our unwavering dedication to our mission.

The rationale behind this event lies in celebrating those who have not only persevered but thrived, fostering excellence and innovation despite a complex, unpredictable environment. Honoring these outstanding individuals and teams will, in turn, encourage others to adopt similar practices, ensuring that quality remains at the heart of everything we do.

As we honor the exceptional contributions of our awardees, let us all be reminded that sustaining quality is a collective responsibility. It calls for creativity, adaptability, and most importantly, a shared love for the work we do and the people we serve. Together, we can continue to build a future that exemplifies excellence in the face of adversity.

Congratulations to this year’s honorees, and may we all be inspired by their example. We also want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the Quality Awards Search and Working Committees. It was a delight working together!

Warm regards,

If you can keep your head when all about you        Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,     But make allowance for their doubting too;    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,     Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,     And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;        If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster     And treat those two impostors just the same;    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken     Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,     And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings     And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings     And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew     To serve your turn long after they are gone,    And so hold on when there is nothing in you     Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,     If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute     With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,        And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
