Funded by a grant from the Library of Congress, the Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program at the University of the Arts creates professional development opportunities for K-12 educators in the greater Philadelphia area and beyond. The program focuses on enhancing cross-curricular learning by helping teachers incorporate arts-based primary resources into dynamic classroom experiences. This guide centers on using arts-based primary sources from the Library's digital collection to spark student writing. The prompts and downloadable classroom projects included within this guide are suitable for use in classrooms across subject areas, disciplines, and levels.
