“That small Redlands campus really paved the way for my future; all of the things I studied there, I’m currently doing professionally. I had a very supportive group of people around me, and not just in the music department. The faculty was wonderful.”

WHY REDLANDS

Our studio teachers are among the finest musicians and teachers in Southern California. Our classes are small, providing space for handson and experiential education.

Redlands is committed to making your education valuable, personalized, and affordable. More than 90% of all traditional undergraduate students receive financial aid each year in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work study.

FACULTY SPOTLIGHT

Andre Myers is a professor of composition and music theory. Recent commissions and performances include works for the Albany Symphony Orchestra and Albany High School Chamber Choir, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Walla-Walla Chamber Music Festival, and Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra.

“At Redlands, we value students as artists and as human beings. We aim to help students form and maintain healthy relationships with their art and intellect. I teach and learn in collaboration with my students. My teaching style is conversational, focused on helping students establish and cultivate good habits for musical and scholarly growth—habits they can employ for the rest of their lives.”
